About 7:00-8:30 the quality is worse than in the rest of the video. That's because of recording settings were off and I had to upscale 800x600 resolution to 1920x1080.
I used to play this for hours. Every so often, I would climb on a transport helicopter with a crew of other soldiers, and the pilot would skillfully dive and swing us into a rice paddy so fast and smooth that I could swear he was a real pilot in the Vietnam war. This game was gold! The radio music in the jeeps and the Tokyo Rose style propaganda playing in the background were so well done. Hard to think of a game I have more nostalgia for. A faithful remake of this would be A-OK with me.

My guess is that Battlefield 6 is going to be free-to-play online-only and battle royale. Possibly only on mobile. Offline mode is just too much to ask these days I guess.

This game had the best soundtrack ever.
I played back in 2005 - 2009, we joined the Helo Heli Killers server with the HHK Clan and my tag name was T-Mob with my buddy G-Mob. If anyone remembers that time or group. There was Helo, JessicaWabit, StingRay, LargeSarge and many others. Truly, one of the best times of game play ever (for me at least). Legendary.

Loved the draw distance in this, all felt so foggy.
You couldn't get sniped from across the map and a heli/plane could appear from anywhere.

Love this game so much but for some reason it kept crashing on my pc no matter what i did, it was so random like it sometimes would freeze 15 min after starting or sometimes i could play for 90 min before a crash, even now when looking at this footage i have the feeling that it will freeze any minute 😂
This game was very fun. I used to play every day when it came out. It was one og the best multiplayer experience I had.

@@WWladek you know I always used a logitech extreme 3D pro joystick. I like it because you have all the axis of a real heli / aircraft. I know a lot of gamers fly with mouse and keyboard but I am / was real pilot and could never get used to the mouse/keys method. You should try and get an older machine just for your BFV habit LOL
@@kahuna195 Thank you for the information. I used the Flightstick Black Widow XE. I did very well in the game. Although the device fell apart in my hands twice. I used a mouse and keyboard then, but it wasn't the same. I remember a lot of murderous and crazy air fights with a girl - nickname Stormy. There were crazy escapes in a jet from Al Gore. There were a lot of very good pilots. I've read on the internet about Logitech Extreme 3D. It has good reviews and the price is also affordable. Maybe I'll try a new joystick. I'll probably have a bigger problem joining the BFV game. I have an old, original version of the game from 2004 but without modern add-ons. Maybe I'll succeed. I'll try. Best regards! 😊

Or cargo lift vehicles and drop them on enemies or do them as a wrecking ball in a helicopter dog fight. Or just drop people in the vehicle in a river

Nothing beats the feeling of someone getting into the gunner seat of a jeep, picking them up with a helicopter tow rope and swinging them around the battlefield. They don't make games like this anymore
Man I laughed so hard at 6:05/11:13/12:35. I want to go back boys.... I loved doing the stuff you show. Such a great game but then they fucked it up by buffing the M60, that was ridiculous. It was no fun. Anyone remember? Anyways, not to sound cocky but I'm pretty good at BF. I would stay alive the whole game in a heli in BF2 for example. No one could get me. Man I miss it so much.

Fun times, I was the bastard who always stole F4 in flaming dart map and It was always fun to dog fight with it because you had to time missile in the right time that you get 1 shot kill. Of course mig-17 could out turn it and shoot f4 down easily.
This game and 1942 made me so fuckin happy. I just ordered an old windows xp laptop and a brand new copy of both. I really hope they work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed

very good game, I remember the heli battles, the capture of flags with helis going a thousand revolutions per minute and the satisfaction it gave to hit the helis with a SAW or an RPG-7 or even a mortar! I would love to play Operation Irving every day with 64 players while driving a heli with unfortunate sound in the background...

I miss this game. The two Hue maps in particular were amazing. It's miles better than the crap Battlefield put out now. The real BFV!
