They did a movie together right after I dream of Jeannie called cry wolf ,it was a murder mystery. It was 1971 NBC were they played a divorcing couple who some how get back together to solve a Kidnapping murder mystery in a small town. You might want to check out it seemed like a good movie you can get it on you tube if you want it's up to you , but please don't expect Tony and Jeannie Nelson or Jr and Lee ann because these characters are completely different. The early seasons JR was cunning, ruthless, successful and an average scene in those days would see him grin, do an evil laugh and make a sharp put down. In these later seasons an average JR scene was him looking puzzled, shocked, speechless and scurrying away after being on the receiving end of abuse. Larry was without a doubt an amazing actor but letting him get too involved in pushing the buttons behind the scenes was a big mistake. He may not have rated Philip Capice, but Capice understood the character of JR much better than Larry did. I kinda think Larry let his personal politics enter the writing by trying to get the mean bad misogynistic capitalist JR to have his comeuppance.
Well that's just was his faults of being devious catching up with him that all the producers played it out well unforgettable performance to Larry hagman always and forever missed rip.
JR was defeated! And a guy like him could never last "at just a job." He has to be the boss. Otherwise, no dice. Folks, this is why having a company means protecting it from snakes is imperative.

It's pretty amazing that Deborah Rennard as Sly, Deborah Tranelli as Phyllis, and Danone Simpson as Kendall all lasted until the final episode. I loved all three. Sly, J.R. 's faithful secretary, Phyllis, Bobby's secretary, who I suspected had a crush on Bobby., and receptionist Kendall.
Would've been funny if just before the elevator doors closed, "Jeannie" would've done the Jeannie blink and her evil laugh as the doors finish closing and the camera then pans over to JR's bewildered face.
Eden filled the void left by principal, gray, Howard, and tilton and it seems she should have been a regular credited cast member. She could out act Cally, Michelle, Vanessa and April. Eden was what this show needed two years before she came. Similar thing happened when dynasty brought Stephanie Beacham on to save it in its final season, it was simply to late by then

The bad thing is J.R. obviously mellowed in his later years, and genuinely seems to feel sorry for the trouble he caused Barbara Eden's character in his youth, but all his evil doings of his younger days was finally catching up to him at the end of Dallas.

I can see Donna, Pam, and Sue Ellen, standing up to JR and buying Ewing Oil, but not Michelle. Larry Hagman should have fought for Susan Howard from being let go from the program. The last two seasons of Dallas the picture quality was not that good. I thought Falcon Crest and Dynasty had better picture quality in the last few seasons of their programs.
If Jock were alive, he wouldn't allow Michelle to take over Ewing Oil. He would have stood up to her with an iron fist. Jock would also be ticked off to see what J.R. has done to Ewing Oil by allowing an outsider to takeover the company.
JR Ewing no longer owning Ewing Oil, gets fired, gets what he deserves as Michelle cleans house. Well bad guy JR no longer having his way. That make all of his victims happy.
It seems like the show died when Victoria Principal left. Bobby's death and return, although stagey and gimmicky, didnt really affect much, but damn Pam's exit is where the show took a major dump.... Dynasty never took such a stumble and I've always liked Dallas better than Dynasty, but then Dynasty was never a quality show, but high gloss, enjoyable trash. Dallas was solid to great drama with tons of escapism.

Principal was most likely the worst actor in the history of this great show and most people couldn't stand her, Cliff's, Rebecca's, Ray's, Donna's or Clayton's holier than thou attitude like their shit smelled like fucking cherry blossoms. Be honest, the show truly died with the death of the GREAT Jim Davis, AKA Jock Ewing. They should've ended the series with JR looking up to the sky with tears in his eyes remembering his beloved father because the show SUCKED after Jock was gone.

JR's power and influence has waned and weakened by this time. "Dallas" had to end somehow. If JR goes then "Dallas" goes.

Eric OMG! I thought I recognized that laugh! Evil Jeannie was always fun to watch! The thing I love the most is that it took one of the kindest women ever (Eden) to finally kick that evil Jr’s ass the way I always wished Pam could have. I love this Michelle twist & I miss this show!!!

I can see Donna, Pam, and Sue Ellen, standing up to JR and buying Ewing Oil, but not Michelle. Larry Hagman should have fought for Susan Howard from being let go from the program. The last two seasons of Dallas the picture quality was not that good. I thought Falcon Crest and Dynasty had better picture quality in the last few seasons of their programs.
Dynasty had a great final season. It picked up and should have continued on one more year at least.

It seems like the show died when Victoria Principal left. Bobby's death and return, although stagey and gimmicky, didnt really affect much, but damn Pam's exit is where the show took a major dump.... Dynasty never took such a stumble and I've always liked Dallas better than Dynasty, but then Dynasty was never a quality show, but high gloss, enjoyable trash. Dallas was solid to great drama with tons of escapism.

Principal was most likely the worst actor in the history of this great show and most people couldn't stand her, Cliff's, Rebecca's, Ray's, Donna's or Clayton's holier than thou attitude like their shit smelled like fucking cherry blossoms. Be honest, the show truly died with the death of the GREAT Jim Davis, AKA Jock Ewing. They should've ended the series with JR looking up to the sky with tears in his eyes remembering his beloved father because the show SUCKED after Jock was gone.

This was so great seeing them together again.... but I was always half expecting to see Barbara Eden cross her arms and blink and turn Larry Hagman into a kumquat or something! LOL
Well she did here he was on the other side of being known how to be crossed over by cunning and ruthless this showed how it feels like.
