COMELEC chairperson should be changed, he should RESIGN. Chairman George Erwin Garcia should RESIGN after this scandal and he should know that a non-Filipino cannot run for public office, more so if involved in criminal activities as proven by the evidence presented. Parang nilalaro lang ni Chairman Garcia ang election at kahit sino na lang pwedeng tumakbo at manalo - magkano ba?
sumusunod lang sya sa naka sulat sa batas, alam mo ba kahit convicted ang isang tao at nasa kulungan at hindi pa tpos ang sentence nya ay maaring tumakbo at pag nanalo ay puedeng maupo sa kanyang position habang nasa loob ng munti.
Threat sa national security, kahit pwede sya ayon sa by-laws ng comelec....common sense naman 🤬

Your proof?
Actually, the requirement for running a mayor's office is too low. You only need 3 things.
1. Filipino Citizenship (Can be natural or naturalized)
2. At least 1 year residence in the are you are running for
3. Can read and write any Filipino native language (Not needed to be mastered)
Sa naturalization of foreigners, you only need to live in Philippines for at least 10 years, and I think but I am not sure, must have asset of at least 300k pesos.
Guo has been living in Philippines for more than 10 years so in case that the natural citizenship about his father failed, she can just apply for naturalization. She also has millions of pesos of assets so the minimum asset is also met.
She ran for mayor for more than a year so the 1 year residence is also met.
She can read and write tagalog, again, not need to be an expert. Kahit barok tagalog, pwede. With how she answered the senate, she is more than qualified.
TLDR: Her running to office in 2025 is legal and if someone would stop her, it would violate her human rights. The problem is not her running in office for Mayor. The problem is how did she win? If majority of her constituents, including those she paid to campaign her, doesn't know her background, how did she convince people to vote her and win? That is the real problem.

This is travesty of justice inquiry & fishing, trolling expeditions of Sen. Risa & Sen. Sherwin against Mayor Alice Guo questioning her personal & private life not pertinent to the resolution of SB977. What is SB977? It’s a bill for inquiry to come up a resolution of Human trafficking, illegal detentions, physical abuse and torture of POGO operators. Alice Guo name wasn’t even mentioned in that bill. They should call & questions PAOCC, PADCOR that raided the establishments. The Senate should create a separate bill, if they want to questions the Mayor.
