  • The World's Largest Laundromat in Berwyn is the flagship store of the industry, setting precedents in service quality, technology and innovation. With more than 300 state-of-the-art and brand new washers and dryers, the World's Largest Laundromat gives its customers the quality wash their clothes deserve - without having to wait for a machine.
This isn't a large version of your run-of-the-mill Laundromat, with wall-to-wall machines and no room or seating to do anything but watch the spin cycle. There's an entire wall of video games, a vending area complete with microwaves and deli-style booths, a custom-designed children's play and homework area, and a bird sanctuary with fluttering members of the finch family. But if you do prefer to just sit and watch the wash go 'round, they've got you covered too, with seating in each of our wide aisles. They also offer free coffee and bakery donuts every morning and free pizza on Wednesday nights.

GREAT PLACE! The fact that the owner uses solar power is fanTASTIC! When I first went in there and saw a large BIRD-CAGE I couldn't believe it! Mid-day it is PACKED with happy people! 🧡

I love this place! I used to live down the block and would go there a couple times a week with my parents. They had a blue parrot back then (mid 80's).

Between this and Indyland Laundromat, they both look great and are both huge.

I've been going to the World's largest Laundromat for the last 5yrs. At least once a week .I enjoy the coffee and sweet rolls. Everyone of the employees are polite and friendly.

Given that solar panels are only 15% efficient and most of the "power" of a laundromat is in drying clothes (and I'm guessing heating water), wouldn't solar thermal panels make more sense? You could use around 90% of the solar energy to heat water, dry dessicant, and heat air. Then you could have the dryers dry clothes with the dried and heated air. Not sure if it could completely "power" a laundromat, but you'd get much more out of solar thermal panels than photovoltaics, like 4 or 5 times as much.

Why RENT the finches? That's fucking stupid, they go for $20-$30 purchase prices for regular breeds like zebra finches, some breeds cost a little more.

The aviary probably has a secret a rea where they train pigeons to sully your car so that you will take it to the nearest affiliated car wash. "PROBABLY"!
