Honestly, I really enjoy Filthy getting amazing starts instead of bad ones. Like sure the problem solving is intriguing, but I just like to watch everything turn out excellent.
This start is like a whole new tier above the legendary start. You'll guaranteed at least 4 spots near the capital that is just as legendary as the capital itself. The myth start.
I've been thinking on why fishing boat pantheon is always chosen early. One of the drawbacks of settling a coastal city is early in the game you have less odd of having good tiles because a large portion of you tiles are useless water tiles. This makes it so you don't attempt wonders because you don't have the hammers to compete, so you always rush a shrine which means people on coast are more likely to have an earlier shrine than those inland which may have other things they prioritize (such as wonders or a granary if you have a ton of wheat tiles, etc.).

If anything, coastal starts have MORE to build (workboats, lighthouses) in the early game and thus should have a lower incidence of shrines. The pantheon is just insanely strong atm and players run all-in faith rush strategies to get a better chance at the pantheon.
God, for a second I was thinking you were ONLY going to end up with a 5 wheat (4 freshwater) 3 gem river system plains cap, but now that you found there’s salt in it too I guess it’s alright. /s

I don't understand how, at 28:53, you got a 0.5 increase in hammers by working a 1ham3food wheat tile instead of a 2ham hill tile.
