#12 Hi-Speed Motorsports T1 E46 M3 SCCA Hoosier Super Tour Race Watkins Glen 6/22/19

- Hi-Speed Motorsports takes on the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour race at Watkins Glen International, we've got a big field in Touring 1 with a mix of Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, and M3s. Christina Lam piloting the #12 E46 M3 and Hugh Stewart is in the #23 E46 M3 up front, and Matt Gaetano in the #172 E46 M3 starting right behind.
I qualified P7 and finished P6. Turned a fast lap of 2.03.0 with no ABS. I left my lights on between qual and the race for several hours nuking my battery. Oops. Since the battery was dead, you'll seem my AiM dash reset several times during the race. At a few points the OE gauge cluster goes completely dead which was a little unnerving. The SmartyCam also reboots out a few times. Replaced the battery after the race and all was good for Sunday's race. Really fun race with the Touring 1 guys. Good, hard, and clean racing all around.
I thought it was going to be a tough weekend going up against a bunch of big V8s at a power track. But we've really come a long way with the M3s and they are competitive against the American power. It makes for great racing when we still own the corner speed but they have the advantage as the track straightens out.

Amazing driving - ive been watching you and Hugh Stewart race and I love the footage. You guys are very talented drivers. I was curious as to whether you guys switch to 4.10s for your race cars and if so, whether you would also recommend the switch for street use. Thanks
