I might buy this one because I like the engineering involved in it's transformation. It's like a simplified conversion out from MPM-4's. BUT still the MPM-4 mold got the screen accurate looks from bot mode and truck mode. I own the official MPM-4 but I want to have the Black Mamba oversize version.

Yeah I think I'm gonna have to grab this. I'm not interested in the black mamba one, the black apple one looks better to me and I'm willing to wait, but this guy just looks like great fun. I already have the SS and love him, I just want one painted to the nines

If they had black Apple mod the chest, wheels and back pack this could've been a really nice masterpiece alternative.

Its being delayed for a reason. Black Apple, the designer, just isn't finished with it yet. He's completely reworking the legs, and probably more on the upper body too. Good things come to those who wait

So Ben, Black Mamba or Wei Jiang? I've watched both reviews and I'm leaning towards Mamba for my birthday, just wanted your final thoughts. I love every Wei Jiang thing I own but the Mamba looks so good.

The other companies don't put the orange on the hood because it makes the robot mode inaccurate. But sense this figures entire not mode is inaccurate it doesn't really matter.

Not bad. But I still like the RotF leader prime better. That and M01 Commander just hit the right spots for me.

Hey man. Great video! I used this to help me transform mine. I think you have your robot mode tires configured incorrectly...? When in figure mode, there should only be 2 tires down by the feet. The upper 2 need to swing up so they touch the top 2 tires. In the movie Prime had these 4 tires together. I love this figure. It's huge and feels good! Thanks!

The silver cylinders on either side of the hood (bonnet) that you keep calling "gas tanks" aren't gas tanks. Those are air cleaners for the engine. They're like giant versions of the air filters you'd find in a passenger car.
They must be sucking a heck of a lot of air? Is a Kenworth or Peterbilt truck typically turbocharged?
Did Black Mamba do a version of this or were you referring to their MPM OS Prime. I like this figure and I'm gonna get it, its just supposed to be an OS version of the SS Prime and thats it. I think if WJ re-engineered all of these figures it would take yrs for them all to come out. Just like how their version of OS MPM Prime is now delayed. We would be seeing that with every figure and not every figure needs to be totally retooled

It would be nice if a 3rd party could come and make the ss prime like a head taller and make him more in scale with the ss line and he’ll be in scale with Ironhide and megatron and make the smokestacks taller and fix the back I think u gotta a perfect voyager prime to go on your movie shelf👍🏻
Plus wiejang played themselves cuz there’s already a mpm and they would done that they would have made a a lot but that’s my 2 cents

Doors are blue, windshield surrounds are red. I’d have to get the paintbrush out and go one way or the other, that stark contrast just doesn’t sit right.
I can’t unsee it now that you point it out! The front cab window should be blue.
I just received a new Wei Jiang ss05/ It’s alright I guess. What I don’t like is the blades fit in too lose and can’t pose him without the blades flopping around. The figure is too light weight for the size and if your a collectible person I don’t recommend it. But it’s good for kids.

Why would anyone get this over the KO of MPM-04? I love this mold as a voyager but they didn't really do enough to it to justify the price increase and at this scale he doesn't look accurate enough.

It's a nice figure, but it seems like a step back from the usual Wei Jiang quality.
Still don't like how things play out on this figure, as far as to how it transforms (looking at those fake windows...).
Yeah there is alot of missing things on the original that Wei jiang could been improved for example the grey bits in this neck and the long smokestacks and the chest windows

Still seems weird, despite the smaller, original version being a decent enough toy, that someone would create an oversized, premium painted version of a design that's not screen accurate with his big weird chest...
So how fragile is this figure? I have a son that wants one....
As neat as the paint job is this just seems like a huge waste of money and space IMO. SS Prime just feels more fit as a voyager where as MPM works a little better for the whole OS thing.
