Keith looks different. Did he get a haircut?
Hopefully no earthquakes strike that room!
My very first thought!
Earthquakes of noticeable magnitude are few and far between in Oxford, thankfully!
As amazing as some of these specimens are, I feel equally impressed at Mark's consistent pronounciation of "anemone".
Oh that's what he said! I kept hearing 'anime' which didn't seem right.
I tried to say it repeatedly, but settled with "manamana" after a few tries ;)
Unlike one of the many other people in this video, who hasn't learned yet that "the anemone is not an enemy."
Hi Brady. Could you do a John Harrison video based on his longitude clocks? I would love to see No. 4.
I saw the Harrison clocks in person at Greenwich about 20 years ago. That visit was one of the highlights of my trip.
I just finished reading a popular account /book about him. An amazing man. That H 4 clock... the silver time piece. Extraordinary is the only way I could describe it.
Yes! I strongly concur! Dr. Haran, we need an Objectivity on John Harrison's clocks.
1. I love my new Objectivity t-shirt. 2. I wish Objectivity episodes were longer.
Mark Carnall looks a little bit like Price from *Better Call Saul* (played by Mark Proksch). The facial expressions, especially the mouth and the eyebrows, are extremely similar to the ones of Price.
Those shelves make me super nervous. Even seismically inactive England has earthquakes sometimes. Should at least be a lip around the edges or something.
10mintwo I was worried about all the shelves falling over like dominos, but it looks like they are attached to the ceiling.
Filled with nicely flameable liquid as well. Perfect movie scene: jars with weird contents drop on your head, some lightbulb pops and everything goes up in flames, while Dorothy is watching from three different containers.
Chortling.
Having experienced a fairly mild earthquake myself, that was the first thing I thought about, too!
Do they have a New Forest Cicada or a Blue Ground Beetle from Skewen?
But the "Baie de Morlaix" is in France, Brittany, not Britain :)

0:44 Formaldehyde? Damien Hirst not quite the trailblazer he was portrayed as! Goes to show, you could put any of these jars in a museum with a little white label, and it immediately becomes "art".
That's like saying Van Gogh wasn't a trailblazer because he used oil paint. Also, what does this have to do with the video?
@pendlera
Well Vincent van Gogh doesn't have anything to do with the video either.
1:12 if you are trying to figure out how he pronounces anemone and judge if he's doing it right.
3:30 Brady 'aneneme'
Might be worth a visit some time to the Grant Museum of Zoology at UCL. Includes Dodo bones and a Quagga skeleton.
you should visit the spirit collection in the Natural History Museum in London. They got lots of little jars like that, but also a room with incredible huge jars
Not sure why you did this episode with out TheBrainScoop
Would these specimens still in a state that could be subjected to DNA analysis?
yeah
so, heat up your pcr thermocycler, guys!
RIP Dorothy
Brady be careful don't drop it
Dorothy seems very cool :-)
RIP Dorothy!
This is super neat thanks for sharing
thanks for watching!
Come the zombie apocalypse I know a good place to hide *and* get drunk.. All that alcohol! While everyone else is fighting over booze at the supermarket, I'll be laughing my way into oblivion, particularly if I drink the formalin by mistake 😃
did they just assume the anemone's gender?
This comment is funny because nobody ever said it in real life except Republicans, because they hate that transgendered people exist.
