The way Hrithik was talking to Diwan on the phone, I couldn't help but notice the subtle attempt to mimic the way Don talks. The breathy voice, the pauses, the slight nuances in his speech seemed very SRK-like. He could've gotten away with not putting the extra effort but he chose to do it anyway. I just love seeing Hrithik Roshan the performer!

Salman has done so many cameos only out of the love and respect that he has for the people involved.
He did a cameo in an obscure flop film called Love At Times Square just for the legendary Dev Anand. He did a cameo in another forgotten film called Isi Life Mein..! just for Sooraj Barjatya.
Similarly, he did Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai just because he respected and loved Yash Johar (Karan's father).

This is one of my favorite cameos. SRK in that one scene comes across as slightly arrogant and controlling only to realize that he was ready to take complete responsibility in order to save his wife ❤

I have very vague memories of watching Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai as I was only 5 at that time.. but I vividly remember the moment Salman entered the screen. The entire theater went nuts with whistles and applause!.. and that was the moment we knew, this movie was going to be very special!

In recent times...Deepika was a real standout. And ofcourse Salman Khan KKHH will always have a place in our hearts....his entry scene in Sanjaan Ji was so iconic. The sincerity in that guys eyes! A moment for his beautiful dance moves too....Before the youtube and twitter age ...the audience went so crazy and aww in the cinema.

Unpopular opinion. Actors like Deepika do not need the guest appearance tag in such movies... She played a substantial and impactful role in Jawaan. It's redundant to add tags based on the length of a role.

I've always considered Aishwarya's part in Mohabbatein an extended cameo, although she was definitely in marketing. But when it comes to tiny screen time making a huge impact on the film and the audience, i always think of that role.
How can you forget Akshay Kumar’s cameo in Dil Toh Pagal Hai? It was performed really well by Akshay and deserved credit.
For Jammy only Srk = Bollywood. Akshay, Salman , Ajay so many cameos have been there but mostly SRK Pr team is strong and smart.

I think Irrfan as Roohdaar was on just another level of stigma from an actor who was without acting became that character in one go. Just saw insights where Vishal has talked about how he casted Irrfan for that cameo and he agree to what conditions. This made us realize the if Irrfan would have lived more, where his rise would have stand in today's time.
Sanjay dutt in Jawan was quite unexpected and seeing him after such a long time on big screen was heartwarming..
I went to Jawan for SRK but came back as Deepika's fan.

It was just like Kuch kuch hota hai was a Suprise cameo and everyone was cheering when that happened. It was a small yet impactful cameo and the movie is pretty good too.

The most memorable surprise guest appearance for me was Akshay Kumar in "Dil To Pagal Hai". I actually screamed when he came on screen. I have yet to have that experience again.

I am not sure when the trend of surprise cameos actually began but the one that completely caught me off guard was Akshay Kumar in Dil Toh Pagal Hai. There was no hint of him being part of the movie. So when KKHH was released a year later, Salman's extended cameo wasn't a big surprise also cos unlike DTPH word was already out after the initial few shows of KKHH that Salman was in the movie.

Cameos in Bollywood movie sphere has been rooted deep. Initially it was a great feeling to be surprised at the movie theatre to see an encounter with the cameo stars. But in recent times be it a publicity stunt, marketing gimmick or just media obsession with star's life the surprise element in a cameo appearance is simply fading. Even now the movie trailers features the cameo star and discussing the details shown in a trailer nowadays is altogether another paradigm for Jammy😂. Regardless of that through the years I have adored SRK and his rather amazing cameo performances. Be it Ae Dil Hai Mushkil being the only good moments in the movie along with the music to the oldest one that I remember har Dil Jo pyaar karega. His cameos are one to watch.
I won't be surprised if Sanjay Leela Bhansali adds the special appearance of Ranveer Singh in his next venture 'Love & War', considering Ranveer being a veteran of SSB's filmography. Anyone anticipating?

SRK and Tabu in Saathiya (2002) was also excellent. I remember 1st day 1st show and theater going crazy.
In those days surprises in movies were real. No youtube, Twitter etc. to ruin it for you, except for your "friends" who have seen the movie before you.

I personally think Naseeruddin Shah in znmd did a fantastic job as a cameo. It really helped the character of Imraan to solve his conundrum and look forward. Not only that but also his character was a very tough one to play as a cameo. More than that in a fast pace movie like znmd and in a character like imraan that scene really bought a sense of stagnation. The thing which i loved about it was just the development of a character through another character was a brilliant thing also both Imraan and Salman were complicated character to begin with and Tbh i really loved it. Please let me know your thoughts on it.

Hrithik's cameo in Don 2 was superb.. what made it amazing for me was the attention to detail. Hrithik eyes were black, he had 5 fingers on his right hand, his height was adjusted to SRK's height and that step from Don 1 to give Priyanka a hint that it's probably Don. Damn it was something else..
Abhishek's cameo in Salam Namaste was not that bad as you mentioned. I quite enjoyed and surprised as these roles were rare on those days. Simpler time 😁

Now i want to see a video on some of the best guest performances in songs. It's like a special Indian genre of cameos! You could probably make a top 100 list of mind-blowing appearances and still have a hard time narrowing it down. (To me Aishwarya in Kajra Re would still probably take the number one spot tho tbh) I can think of many which instantly elevated the whole film, or survived it in terms if quality and memorability.
