Bad Kind of Butterflies has to be my fav song off the Romance album! It’s so underrated and it’s so different from anything she’s ever done. The way she describes how she’s breaking up with this person and then the breathy affect when she sings “bad” everytime like she’s scared to tell the person whom she’s breaking up with in fear of how he might react (the fear of him reacting in a bad way causing her to get a “bad kind of butterflies” feeling) it’s so unique and I just love it so so much!

I feel like there are two people in the world: The ones that listen to a song and totally emerge on the lyrics, and the ones that notice the production of the song. As a person that emerge on the lyrics myself, I usually miss the little details that the artist add to each track. There were definitely songs that I liked more than others on the album, now that I’ve basically spend the whole day watching reactions, it’s really grown on me. Listening to others feedback makes me appreciate the music so much more, and I love that. I appreciate it sooooo much more, and it make me want to listen to it a lot more.

Only Told The Moon was written and produced when she was 16 in a hotel room. In a radio interview about 2 years ago, Camila said that the song wouldn't make it to her debut album, but she may rerecord and add the song to her upcoming second album, because she's aware that a lot of fans love the song. That's why a lot of fans are sad, that neither of the songs made the cut on Romance.

Then finally she got over her feelings but then Shawn understood he loves her but she already was in a relationship... then she realised that she is still loving him. Tbh , you can probably take out , feel it twice , dream of you , easy and this album would be less repetitive and all the elements that made this album would still be there , they’re not bad songs they just make the album repetitive in my opinion
Unpopular opinion: this was actually a DECENT second album. At first listen, you totally understand why the singles promotional tracks were chosen, because they show the most of the album's most obvious attempts at achieving diversity, and the ones that weren't, while not really homogenous in sound, tend to blend altogether and become indistinguishable at some point. And Camila is a perfectly fine and agile singer, so it's just insulting that the producers doused her vocals in so much Autotune and unnecessary post-production that her voice sounds awkwardly clipped especially in the staccato verses of the more upbeat tracks. The songwriting isn't the best, but she does use her voice to its maximum potential often to breathtaking results. What really lets this project down as a whole is that other than Señorita, there isn't any other song that can be a standalone hit. None of the singles/buzz tracks after Señorita have resonated with the public. The album just debuted at #3 despite having a #1 single and being discounted halfway through the tracking week just to help push it to #1. Not the best commercial start to the album, and if the next single or two do not become top 10 hits at the very least, then this project is doomed. Not helping the situation is the fact that a good number of the melodies, chord progression and instrumentation of some tracks sound like they were ripped off of previously released material by artists like Christina Aguilera (Just A Fool on Your Love), Bebe Rexha and Louis Tomlinson (Back To You on Feel It Twice), Marina (Karma on Liar) and even Banks (Gemini Feed on Cry For Me). While no artist is completely original, the fact that this many songs in an album sound suspiciously similar to other artists' songs puts Camila in a really bad light. Nonetheless, Romance shows artistic growth for Camila. The directions she took were not always the most fruitful and fulfilling, but you gotta commend her for consciously trying to stray from the blueprint of her debut album, especially when duplicating that was the easier, more tempting option to go. Of the songs that haven't been officially released as singles yet, My Oh My, Should've Said It, Cry For Me and This Love seem to have the most hit potential, although the first two sound like weaker rehashes of Havana, and the last one sounds a tad too reminiscent of Rihanna's Love On The Brain.
