Great drive! How would you compare E87 Chitaodan Road (including spur that connects to Central International Airport) Japan to Hardy Toll Toad (including spur that connects to George Bush Intercontinental Airport) that you did back in Episode 13 other than the shoulder? Here's the full drive: th-cam.com/video/r8sf9cUXB_A/w-d-xo.html
That's correct for US-377, as US-377 ends up in Del Rio. I-30 west and I-20 west has the same control cities, as just right outside Fort Worth, both I-20 and I-30 merge, with I-20 continuing to Abilene. Also, both I-20 and I-30 East have Dallas as a control city from Fort Worth. Makes sense for I-30, as it heads into downtown Dallas, but I had to double check on I-20. It does cross into the city of Dallas, I think around the Spur 408 area. I was half-expecting I-20 East to be labeled Shreveport only, as not to confuse drivers with I-30. TxDOT, for whatever reason, didn't do that. Also, SH-187 is labeled NAS Fort Worth. It could easily be labeled DFW Airport, but the shorter route is to reverse direction and follow SH-121 back to DFW Airport. The only other place it could be labeled is Dallas, as it ends at I-35E, but you can get to that spot quicker using I-30. Since the NAS Fort Worth is right on SH-183 (just a little north of I-30), I thought the control city should be that.
I was able to watch that video earlier today. I'm beginning to realize that all the Japanese toll roads look alike. The quality of the road was great. The HTR (which I will do the next video on as it needs a redo...this time in daylight, driving North, and I'm including the Airport Connector as a split screen.) The original video is Episode 13 and was filmed using a Roav camera, not a GoPro. This new one (Episode 40 or 41, depending if the end-of-year video comes out before or after) is shot on a GoPro. Here I am, distracted. Anyways, the one thing I'm surprised is that they don't separate the electronic tag lanes from the other lanes, and put more of an open-road gantry for those with a electronic tag, so they don't have to slow down for the toll gantry to read their transponder.
Was the Chisholm Train Parkway opened to traffic on Mother's Day 2014?
Yes. According to documents, that was the official opening date: May 11, 2014.
