wow Evelyne...that looks so yummy. omg ...at 6:09 i was like 🤪🤪 ..drooling. and that pickle added i’m sure must’ve made it oh so delicious! thumbs up 👍 😋
I have no idea I just saw your comment was held for review. Thanks so much, Mikah it was delicious. So that and a slice of the strawberry cake lol? Thanks for watching the live stream!
Evelyne at CulturEatz No I am not afraid of offal at the least. I guess I am the strange friend of the bunch 😂 .. Yes I watched and commented on Roy’s channel.
A very up-market Jerusalem mix!!! I've never had it with steak or lamb (very expensive here). The usual recipe as you said is with chicken hearts as well as the livers and sometimes also giblets too - it's all about the offal! This is after all street food. Of course it requires a much longer cooking time but that's what makes it so delicious. And it is even better reheated so you can make a big batch. I guess if you can't get the ingredients Evelyne, you will have to come to Israel! You would be very welcome!
Thank you Pamela J Levene for your comment! Yeah I know normally it all offal but they are not very common items to buy in Canada. I worked with what I had lol. YES, the leftovers the next were so much better lol. And even better, will have to go eat the real thing in Israel :-)
STUFR Short Travel Unique Food Reviews I think you’ll be surprised how good the original one is! But I have to admit Evelyne version looks really tasty too! 😋
GREAT JOB EVELYNE!!!! Your Jerusalem Mix looks great!!! Now I feel like going to Jerusalem and have me some good ol' Mix in a pitta :) We had so much fun collaborating with you and we hope to do more cool challenges with you in the future.
Thank you for being the very example of a closed minded person that does not appreciate a person taking an interest in your culture and doing there best the replicate a dish as best as they can when some ingedients are just not availiable. The very idea of the video is to help people have open minds and explore other culutures. When you shoot them down like this, do you think you are helping to share and exchange with strangers in a positive way?
Have you ever tired Jeruslame Mix? Are you a fan of organs/offal?

Oh great delights for my tummy 🤤🤤🤤🤤 Heading over to Roy’s Mania right now 🏃🏻♂️
Thanks Jessie and I know you would not be afraid by this offal sandwich lol. Hope you like Yael and Roy's challenge!

Now I want some too! 😍 looks AMAZING!!!
Thank you Tim, you like offal a lot?
Evelyne at CulturEatz no really, but since I liked haggis, I would be willing to give it a try
The actual chicken breast and lamb helped. But in Israel it could just be liver, heart and spleen in the sandwich lol

Wow great collab!!! Loved it. And that sandwich looked so yummy! I must admit I think I would like your version better than the original one haha.

Roy's Mania after trying Haggis I might be a little less afraid to try the original version of this dish 😂💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thank you, Dennis and the spice mix is good to cover most offal LOL. I wish I had found heart too.

Thank you so much Yael and Roy! So glad I passed the tested lol. It was so much fun, let's do it again! I am off to see your challenge!
Recipes are always supposed to be altered just a little bit. I am not a big fan of organs but would like to try some. What a great way to collab.
I am not a big offal fan either but the spices and cooking really do make this good!
Looks like it
You are missing the hearts and spleens that give it its special taste but I know in the US they may be hard or impossible to find..
I am in Canada :-) and yes I would only find chicken hearts, and for sure no spleen here. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks
I’m sorry it looks nothing like a JMG sandwich
