I wonder really what class this competes in considering the Q3 is a subcompact crossover. Furthermore it makes me wonder more of Audi's nomenclature and what a mess it's becoming. While Q means crossover/suv, they're usually odd numbered [Q3, Q5, Q7] and odd numbers typically mean coupe as well [A5, A7] yet the A3 is a sedan and a hatch as well. This is all getting confusing. At least there's consistency with other luxury automakers.

The Countryman-class of SUV's is the smallest you can go with an SUV, without sacrificing any interior space. It's great for 5 and has solid boot space. The packaging is perfect. Not sure about the Q2 execution though. The design is busy without being distinctive. The tech on the other hand is very impressive for such small car. Not so sure about the superminis, those tend to be too small either in the back seats or the boot. The Golf-class on the other hand is +20 cm larger, not so great in the city.
I love how you give little informations comparing this car's size with the A3 and Q3. Great job, i very much enjoy the reviews (could you please tell us the L/KM consumption from now on, it would be helpful).
I think they should make a whole new MPV Body Style With the O3 Range Which has an S and RS Variants (Ford B Max Rival With the O5 Range With has S and RS variants and also has a coupè body style variant for the A2 heritage (Ford C max Rival) The O7 Range With RS and S variants (Ford Smax rival) And A O7 L which rivals a Ford Galaxy
I like the design but the colour and the wheels in the test doesn't fit the Q2 well. Choose the sharp red or blue colour and the big open wheels. Not the boring wheels in the test.
everyone complains when audi basically 'photocopies' there car design and now when they decide to be a bit bold everyone seems to slate them... I like the looks I saw one in red with a silver sideblade and 18' wheels and it looked really sharp, also imagine this as a young families car that once had a polo or an A1 and realised they needed more space than a supermini but wants something that stands out more than an A3 with a funkier interior, I actually really like it and I hate crossovers at least it looks like they gave it a bit of effort and I can see who this car actually appeals too
I love how every manufacturer is giving us cars we didn't ask for, they say there giving us what we want, but they're just copying cars their rivals make just so they don't miss out on the market. Now we've got a convertible range over evoque!

Looks good than other similar size crossovers.... Built on A3 so seems like a solid built... Time will tell how reliable ... Gives a bit of jeep n range rover feel
Question: by have much do the ubiquitous fake air intakes increase the aerodynamic coefficient ? Why do most designers feel that these just have to be there.
If the interior of the Q2 looks like the A3, how is the interior of the new 2nd Gen Q3 look like then? I mean the Q5 interior is based on the A4 interior, and the Q3 interior should be be based on the A3, but if the Q2 looks like an A3 from the inside already, then the (new) Q3 is just gonna be a bigger Q2...

Volvos new german Designer was the chef designer for the VW company if you know what i mean.
