I've started doing time blocking too and it's very helpful. The reason why I was not doing in the past was that I didn't actually stick to it 😅 But now I'm in a better place mentally and it's working. I don't stick 100% to it but it's a good guide, especially when planning, cause I have (time) limits. The main difference with you is that weekends are my most planned days 😂 since I work during the weekdays so I can't do that much, maybe one or two things

Money is one of many resources. Time is another. And time is never ever "wasted" when it is filled with enjoyment and good feelings. I know that some people prioritize career and money (especially the many who promote hustle culture on social media), but it's not the only way to live. To me, living "successfully" is living happily. It is definitely NOT being unhappy hustling towards money and status and hoping that this is what will bring you happiness someday. That, in my opinion, is just a complete waste of the precious, limited time that we have.

I am wondering whether the original bullet journal method would work better for you.. more spontaneous, more list based.. might be worth trying

I think that you're most likely to feel overwhelmed if your planning method is too complex, so maybe you need to try simplifying it?

A great tip is to use ground flax seed or grind your own! It thickens the oats a bit too 😊
