    There is a special kind of treatment spray for pavement and even stone monuments to do as passive maintenance. It should be PH balanced, not acid like vinegar or alkaline like bleach, and no salts left behind to damage delicate concretes or mortars or stone. Use a mixer spray on the entire area, and light use of a broom or brush may be advisable to penetrate the liquid into any thick growth, and in about a week it looks good as new.
    Two competitors are called "Wet And Forget" advertised for driveways and sidewalks, etc.
    Another is called "d2bio" used on national monuments and national cemeteries, especially for sensitive marble.

    This was so cool to watch. Hubby & I were on our roof for 3 hours yesterday and only got 1/4 done. Do you use something in the red container to break down the buildup before washing? Do you mind saying what?

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh that is just gas in the red container. It's there to run the pressure washer. I am just spraying plain water in this video but bleach would help. Some pressure washers have reservoirs for chemicals otherwise you just have to use a separate chemical injector inline on the hose. That's what I do sometimes.

      It depends on the tip. This job was using a 3000 psi machine, but not a narrow tip. The narrower the tip the more damage you can cause. The flat surface cleaner has 2 tips in it spinning around and it's made for that. But if you were to use the 15 degree or the 0 degree tip, you'd dig right into the pavers. Use the wide tip or the turbo tip, and you're safe.

    Did you remove all the moldy polymeric sand?

      Well, there wasn't any in the first place. There aren't visible seams on these pavers. I think they are thin pavers on cement.

    I gotta say, real-time audio is better but time-lapse video is nice. Can see the results quicker.

      This audio trick is something that the Sony Vegas editor does and I like to use it. It keeps the sound pitch correct even in timelapse. Of course you always have the real time version on my other channel, for you hard core guys. :)
