I played through the original and PSP versions of Final Fantasy I and II. I bought them in December 2007. I also played the previous versions back in the early 2000s. I think they should do a downloadable 1080p 2D version.
I think the most important thing is a good storyline and the graphics. Because, I really liked FFVII, and the graphics weren't that good yet, but it's my favorite game so far, just because it has an awesome good story.

what is the big fuss over which game is more fun. Just like a piece of art or novel, a game offers different experiences to different people. Some people enjoy a good storyline while others enjoy the good graphics of a game, why argue over that?
Well yeah defo, but who can honestly say (those who grew up in the 8 bit/16 bit era, that the games they played then wont occasionally get played again, you know the retro gaming field is growing and daily games which werent made that long ago are becoming "retro" i think people are having difficulty defining between classic and retro.
i'd like to see FF1 remade for the PS2 with graphics from FFX. The same for FF7. Isn't this trailer basically the same game that came out for GBA a few years ago?
The thing is, in ten years time, people wont say final fantasy 7 sucks, regardless of graphics, its the gameplay and the game ona whole regarrdless of graphics, its been how many years, and how many people can honestly say super mario bros sucks?...i undestand ur point, however true classic games will always shine threw regardlesss of their graphics is what im merely trying to say.
The originals will live on in the hearts and minds of real final fantasy gamers for all time and FF7 can suck it because these games have something that FF7 will never have and that is real genuine character that doesn't depend on thousands of poser fan boys, a handful of off branching game ripoffs and a piece of crap movie. To me yeah if you don't own the game it is illegal. If you own it then it's cool. I just don't like how people download games that are just released. For games never released in certain parts of the world then to me that is ok. But if can go and grab it off a shelf then I say no.
