I've lived in Phoenix since 1969. Early October was brutally hot this year. I'm glad you did not melt in Dreamy Draw Park. It's a great place to ride when the weather is nice.
Both are great and both sell like crazy. With that said, specs are very similar (i.e. torque sensors, 4 inch tires, 28 MPH speeds, 2 color options, etc). But they have unique advantages as well, like the Lectric has a RST Air Fork which has better feel over the Aventure.2's coil spring fork. On the other hand, the Aventon has app connectivity with ride tracking. It will likely come down to what you want to prioritize and what color you prefer! Good time to be buying either way! -Mike
No real complaints at that price point. Maybe a more compact screen , seems like the large screen would be more susceptible to damage if you ride rough gravel roads or trails on a regular basis
That's a fair point, only anecdotal thing I can offer is this: We have a combined thousands of miles logged on these e-bikes (from all brands) and offload use has never lead to a display breaking. With that said, displays can still have issues and I'd always recommend getting two things to make sure an e-bike lasts as long as it can, a 2nd display (because they may be hard to find years down the road if the model is discontinued) and the other is a 2nd battery. Batteries have only so many recharge cycles before they die, while it does take a while, its a nice piece of mind to have that backup to double the potential life and alternate charging cycles if you wanted. Hope that helps! -Mike
For me? The Xpeak 2.0, here's why: The Xpeak will feel a bit punchier and more powerful than the XP3 as the XP3 has a 500W motor and 55Nm of toque compared to the Xpeak 2.0's 750W motor and 85Nm of torque, plus beefed up brakes and a better suspension fork. For a couple hundred more, its a lot more bike. Hope that helps! -Mike

You're right, Dreamy Draw is a beautiful place to ride, even when feeling like I was on the verge of melting! -Mike
what would you go with this or the aventon adventure 2

Been thinking about this or the xp 3. I been leaning towards the xpeak but my main focus would be acceleration and speed. Which one would you prefer?

pedals are too close to the front wheel....frame needs to be stretched out a bit
I see your point. From my own anecdotal experience, It felt good when riding, never had my shoe come in contact. -Mike
Great bike video boring
Ha! Fair Point Jim, I didn't have the bike with me, so yeah, probably not the best video. Thanks for the feedback! -Mike
