That is as real as it get. Three generations hunting 15 acres. It's not about the size of the deer, it's all about the memories and traditions. That is what hunting is all about. I have been blessed to have shared the same traditions in Missouri for 3 generations. A mouse infested mobile home, a hard deer drag and cold can of PBR. This is what makes American great and THP is what makes hunting vidoes "real". Thank you!!

Guys, I love your videos. The way you all hunt is much more realistic to us average hunters than is the "celebrity" hunters who hunt private preserves that would cost $10k for admission. Every deer hunter who has ever pulled up their rubber boots and slung a rifle across his shoulder, dream of that Booner. But is real life, taking a respectable 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 year old buck is the best we'll ever accomplish. That, and putting a doe or 2 in the freeze is a great season. Your videos celebrate the average hunter. The tips you provide during the hunt and at the end of the videos are priceless. Your celebration of the hunt and friendship during the hunt is priceless. Thirty some years ago, I made a decision that I would rather hunt with friends than to go off solo looking for that trophy deer. The memories created by that decision are worth more to me than a wall full of B/C trophies. Your videos exemplify my choice as a hunter. Thank you.

This is hands down my favorite '18 Deer Tour video. By far the most personal. Jake does an awesome job capturing the many traditions that a lot of us share as hunters. From sighting in the guns, driving to deer camp, families and friends coming together, mouse and people filled camps, passing on the tradition to youth, sharing the excitement, and then the celebration. Basically, a lot things folks take for granted until we stop and reflect, or in this case, is filmed and edited to perfection. Keep it up THP!

Man out of the whole series this is by far my favorite episode! The generations that are showcased throughout this whole episode is what whitetail hunting in the Midwest is all about! Makes me look back on all the stories I have had with my dad, brothers, and family! Killing monster bucks is always the dream, but the stories I can tell about tracking the smallest deer with my dad always top them!

Just want to say, Michael Waddell is who got me interested in hunting, I seen him passing through channels when I was real little and ran to my daddy so he would buy me a bow because it looked so cool. I looked up to Michael for so many years and was his #1 fan, but I do have to say, y'all are my new favorite for sure. I tell everyone about you and showed my dad your videos. I'm that crazy fan girl and will cry if I ever met yall. So not that it will happen but if you ever see a girl crying and coming towards you it's me and all I want is an autograph lol

Jake; this is Jerry & Diane, former Owner/Operator of the Longbranch Saloon in Germania. We operated in 1983-mid 1985. We re-created the old dance hall in the rear & entertained music & dances .
Most of the additions & improvements were to come following the Hellers Purchase of the property.
Good chance we knew your Grand parents during our operation.
Following the Sale, we moved to SW Florida & remain here.
I stopped at Bar this past October on a trip to Neshkoro.
Good Luck in the future; your Group has a Great Channel!

Nothing like Opening Day Tradition. My dad and I had one that went back 36 years. He's been gone just over a year now, but I go on. This is by far my favorite video this season. Not only because of the action and family tradition, but your hat Jake! It's exactly like my dads (check my profile pic). I use to make fun of it. But he said "rain or snow his head was always warm and dry because water just shed right off it" Great Hat Jake!

Great great video. This video perfectly demonstrates the rich tradition of deer hunting in Wisconsin. It’s not about the kill but the memories made w/ family and friends. Often times the most memorable hunts are the ones in which you leave empty handed. As much as I love to bowhunt there is something about Wisconsin’s gun season which makes me feel like a kid at Christmas again. Great job and can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for ya.

What a great memory, and thank you for sharing it with us. Jake I watched the video of your bow kill that took a little longer to end than you would have wanted it to. Thats the reality, WE KNOW THAT. This how ever was the complete opposite. Family, friends, relationships, memories, the local restaurant, Grandma, Grandpa THE LAND and things that can never be explained to folks that don't under stand. I wish that I could have had these opportunities when I was growing up. But I now live with what I have been blessed with and what I can take advantage of. Another great video, keep em coming, I'm a solo hunter, no one else in my family hunts but I surely wish I had the great times and memories of deer camp, God bless...

Well, CRAP! I saw this at the top of the page when I logged into TH-cam. Thought this was a new video until I started watching it. Still a good video, but a little bummer it wasn't this year's video. Out of all of the videos y'all do, these are my favorite!

I love hunting camp! Mine is in PA and this year I didn't hunt because I had shot my buck in archery, but just being a part of camp and the memories is AWESOME!!! Congrats to your Dad. FYI Noon is actually 12:00pm not am! haha!!!

We had a similar camp. Family got too old, passed away, and not enough people to continue the tradition. Miss it a lot

Sorry to hear that James. We hope to bring that tradition back someday.
