There is a damper that allows cold air from the freezer to travel into the refrigerator. If this sticks or stops opening and closing, it can cause this. You can google your make/ model number and see where that damper is located and how to check if it's bad. I hope that helps.
@@Allaiya. I replaced my defrost timer and it fixed my issue. I had to take the unit down where the light is and use a blow dryer to melt the ice that froze the damper hole between the freezer and fridge section in the back after you replace the timer. You'll see the holes above the fridge section once you take the 4 screws out.
The problem we have is the fan blade will not stay on the motor shaft when running. Any suggestions on how to secure this? Frigidaire Gallery Model FGHB2868TF7
Yes I did both, unplugged it & plugged it back in. I went on U tube & looked up the problem. Didn't really find that particular primoblem. It reset & was ok & stayed at 9 for awhile. Now freezer seems ok but fridge won't stay on 9. It's a 2014 Frigidaire. It goes to 1 & H. Thank you. Just disappointed ppl sell fault y appliances. Going to report to Offer Up.

Kinda sounds like a circuit board problem. I don't work on fridges everyday so I'm not sure on that one.. Have you tried to google your brand and that problem to see if you get any hits? Just for the sake of it have you tried to unplug it for about 5 minutes and plug it back? I know that's a long shot, but you never know.. Could be several things... could be a compressor. Possibly the refrigerant has leaked out.. Could be a sensor. There are many variables unfortunately..

Those Frigidaire units are loud. Mine does the same thing, makes all kinds of noise. I've been to lazy to investigate why and where the noises are coming from...

Oh wow! The center of the blade may be worn and it's fitting loose. Have you tried loc-tite?
Not yet, but the unit is only 3 years old.
Might be worth a try if it won't stay on there.. The other choice would be a new fan blade. @@diycollaborative

OH wow... One of the answers on that thread link I posted suggested that the circuit board could be the problem. Sorry for your troubles... 😞
