After my S3 died i bought the 8x 2 days ago in Blue, it looks awesome and im absolutely in love with this phone, it feels and performes like a 400€ phone easily, there is NOTHING to complain about ( at least for me )

Whereas Huawei, Honor (which is also Huawei) and Meizu for example are a better bang for the buck...that's why you should always check everything out before you buy one. My current Sony Xperia XZ cost like 700.- when it was new (it was Sonys flagship phone). The 8X costs 250.- and has better hardware and is "only" a middleclass phone. Shows you the difference between a few months/years...

People who knows well about my usage pattern will vouchsafe that if a mobile has a heart it will bleed because the kind of hard usage that i put in . Being in to Sales where you have to constantly interact not only with your clients but also with your team members 24/7, make no mistakes this 200 USD mobile is an absolute stunner. Ditto with any mid range Android mobile phone similar to that of Honor 8X. You get everything in an Android phone with just 20% of the money you spend for a flagship iPhone. It makes no sense at all to spend such a huge money just for a mobile which is anyway no way superior to today's mid segment Android phones. The Iphone users are like a cult group. They are brain tuned to a particular frequency and any persuasion will not work them. This Honor 8X is a beast and beauty.
iPhones used to be great but since last 2 years Android phones are doing much better job. I never thought that a android phone would beat Apple in game loading time, but it's happening now. And if a person is 1 % aware of the apple looting strategy they won't buy an apple product. And the freedom comes with Android is unbeatable.

Great review - I have now bought the Honor 8X. Well my wife has for my Birthday in a few weeks. Its good to see people are now comparing cheaper phones to the so called flagship phones. I have always had the cheaper phones and they have served me well. Got a Vodafone Ultra 6 at the moment and its been great. Only swapping now as the battery is getting very tired after years and years and no way to change it. As far as apple phones go they are good phones and they did pave the way for all the others and seem to lead while others follow but they are WAY over priced. They are resting on brand loyalty and they certainly have loads of that so they are laughing all the way to the bank. While the rest of us enjoy superb phones like the Honor 8x with a little smirk on our faces knowing we got a GREAT deal :)
For the past 2 years I've been using my Honor 4C had no problems aside from the occasional heating,so at this point I don't doubt the quality of their product. I felt I needed an upgrade so I bought an Honor Play and got my fiancee her Honor 8x. Midrange phones are really taking over fast the market. 😏

Any half decent android is better than an iphone. It's not just value for money that makes Android better it's the fact that you can do almost anything on it like downloading torrents, transferring files with ease, running kodi, unlimited free photo back up and so much more. With android you use your phone how you want. With Apple you use your phone how they tell you to and pay a premium for the privilege.

Totally agree, the Honor 8x is amazing. Two sims cards make it cheaper (massive data sim in one although you can also use the spare slot for local sim when abroad or just leave it empty) and a separate SD card slot essential. I bought one for my partner and after four months he wouldn't change it for anything. Photos are the best and he hasn't had any issues with the video when walking - you just need a steady hand. As for night time shots they're as good as any professional camera (he's now stopped using his expensive camera). Battery lasts incredibly well and speaker quality is best yet. The screen is brilliant - wider than the iPhone and stunning to look at. Now buying another for a friend who has asked for advice. I'm usually reticent to advise on phones as it's rather subjective, but no hesitation here. Found it on Amazon UK Prime (June 2019) for £186.09! Spend the savings on a holiday!

Great Review. I've used a Honor 7X for almost a year now and was very surprised how much Smartphone you can get for your Buck. Makes me think why would any Android User ever would buy a Android Flagship, like a Samsung S9, Honor P20 Pro.
I've been with the Honor 8x for a month, and is a very interesting phone, I was carrying a Samsung S8+ and an iPhone 7, and the reality is that I haven't missed them, I put my two SIM cards in the Honor, and added the micro SD (128 GB) from the Samsung to have all the storage that I need, also neither of the older phones were providing me more than a day of battery, and the Honor is with 60% of capacity after 12-14 hours of use. That's a really good option for the value.
I've rocked a honor 5c for 2 years now, and I can safely say that this thing is build as a tank, but as it has accumulated alot of scratches on the back of the phone (the screen is fine) I might upgrade to the honor 8x in half a year or so
same here, I am clumsy at times. I now have a honor 7x that has bounced at least 2 times. Once even on the side of the kerb when getting out of the car. That left a pretty deep gouge on the corner of the bezel, but the screen is undamaged, and the phone works beautifully. Really good build quality!

So glad I stumbled upon this video before buying a phone. Update after using Honor 8X for 2.5 years - Still works like brand new, no bloat or ads like you see on other Chinese smartphones. Just too aggressive on killing background apps but it's fine with me. Battery life has degraded a little, but that's expected after 2.5 years of heavy usage. Sad seeing honor unable to sell phones outside China now due to Google fiasco.
My daughter got this phone after I showed her your review. She had it for under three weeks and was really happy until Bank Holiday Monday. She put it on charge and came back to find a crack in the screen. The phone hasn’t been dropped. There is no other damage to it just a crack. I have read that in extreme heat a faulty screen can crack. Honor US, according to the Internet, have a three month screen warranty. Unfortunately Honor UK don’t. This might be a great phone, but if you get a less than perfect one it’s not so great. And quite frankly the company in the UK is pants. I was going to get this phone, but not now.
Great comparison between the two phones. I think the honor 8x is a great buy. Personally I think that even with the kirin 710 chip, it should still play some high quality games nicely like asphalt 9 and so forth. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
You all have to read this one. Okay so I am a Kenyan living in Nairobi. I got my Honor 8X like four days ago. I may have acquired it a bit later than most users, but I was waiting for the East African version, which would perform better in East Africa than say the UK US Chinese Dubai versions. So I waited until I was sure the EA version was out. This thing is unreal! I am using the 4GB/128GB model JSN-L22 and my goodness I have never used a phone like this one in my life. I watched videon for a whole day, left it running because I fell asleep and deep into the night I wake up and find it at 20% charge. I wait for the 20% to go to 0%, it does so the following morning after 9am. I decide to charge it because everyone is saying it takes 2 and a 1/2 hours to charge. It goes to 100% in less than an hour. Mind you I am running everything at optimum level not in battery saver mode. So much for type C ports and all.. What? I repeat the process playing heavy games likes Asphalt 9 and what not, takes 12 hours of game play. Heats up just a bit and that's after like 5 hours of non stop gaming... I mean this thing is unreal.. I got it for 24000 Kenya shillings that would translate to about $240. At that time I am doing this I have almost filled up the phone with Apps and videos and everything. I have like 10GB of space left, only! And this beat is just running smoothly like I can't even explain! Goodness me! I have experienced very minimal lagging, and that is probably mostly due to the fact that I using 3G and not 4G. I am one happy customer! The camera is insane. It is not as unstable as I thought it would be when I waswatching its cons review by tech spurt and others... Or maybe they have improved the EA version i dunno... But whooa!! Goodness me hail Honor! Can't imagine what a View 20 or something would be like...

Great Review. I've used a Honor 7X for almost a year now and was very surprised how much Smartphone you can get for your Buck. Makes me think why would any Android User ever would buy a Android Flagship, like a Samsung S9, Honor P20 Pro.
The quality on samsung galaxy S phones is far beyond honor in my experience
BUT I'm tired of micro-usb and no wireless charging
I've been with the Honor 8x for a month, and is a very interesting phone, I was carrying a Samsung S8+ and an iPhone 7, and the reality is that I haven't missed them, I put my two SIM cards in the Honor, and added the micro SD (128 GB) from the Samsung to have all the storage that I need, also neither of the older phones were providing me more than a day of battery, and the Honor is with 60% of capacity after 12-14 hours of use. That's a really good option for the value.

I've rocked a honor 5c for 2 years now, and I can safely say that this thing is build as a tank, but as it has accumulated alot of scratches on the back of the phone (the screen is fine) I might upgrade to the honor 8x in half a year or so
same here, I am clumsy at times. I now have a honor 7x that has bounced at least 2 times. Once even on the side of the kerb when getting out of the car. That left a pretty deep gouge on the corner of the bezel, but the screen is undamaged, and the phone works beautifully. Really good build quality!

And i loved it ..iohones are great puones for people who just want to have a phone with internet and style.. but we can have all of this now for much less money... :D.. living in the future is great .. bit the low price is also one of the reasons it doenst sell that well in austria and germany . Because people here think.. "oh, its just 250€?? This MUST BE TRASH.. if its cheaper than 600€ .." . They Just see the cheap price and not the quality.. sad, cus every time i hand my honor7x to somebody he ask me how mich it costs.. because it looks and feels so pricey.. xD than i say 230€ and they dont believe me xD

Phenomenal review. Really loved the comparison made. Honestly, I have never been fond of the Iphones. I feel that they are too overpriced. One can buy a Honor 8X, save all the money and simply have a great time in life. Loved the options that were given in the end. It's really compelled me to buy this phone.

It is just brilliant, and considering the price, is even better. I cracked the screen few days ago and honestly I can't be bothered to replace it. Lol

So glad I stumbled upon this video before buying a phone. Update after using Honor 8X for 2.5 years - Still works like brand new, no bloat or ads like you see on other Chinese smartphones. Just too aggressive on killing background apps but it's fine with me. Battery life has degraded a little, but that's expected after 2.5 years of heavy usage. Sad seeing honor unable to sell phones outside China now due to Google fiasco.
My daughter got this phone after I showed her your review. She had it for under three weeks and was really happy until Bank Holiday Monday. She put it on charge and came back to find a crack in the screen. The phone hasn’t been dropped. There is no other damage to it just a crack. I have read that in extreme heat a faulty screen can crack. Honor US, according to the Internet, have a three month screen warranty. Unfortunately Honor UK don’t. This might be a great phone, but if you get a less than perfect one it’s not so great. And quite frankly the company in the UK is pants. I was going to get this phone, but not now.

Great comparison between the two phones. I think the honor 8x is a great buy. Personally I think that even with the kirin 710 chip, it should still play some high quality games nicely like asphalt 9 and so forth. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

You all have to read this one. Okay so I am a Kenyan living in Nairobi. I got my Honor 8X like four days ago. I may have acquired it a bit later than most users, but I was waiting for the East African version, which would perform better in East Africa than say the UK US Chinese Dubai versions. So I waited until I was sure the EA version was out. This thing is unreal! I am using the 4GB/128GB model JSN-L22 and my goodness I have never used a phone like this one in my life. I watched videon for a whole day, left it running because I fell asleep and deep into the night I wake up and find it at 20% charge. I wait for the 20% to go to 0%, it does so the following morning after 9am. I decide to charge it because everyone is saying it takes 2 and a 1/2 hours to charge. It goes to 100% in less than an hour. Mind you I am running everything at optimum level not in battery saver mode. So much for type C ports and all.. What? I repeat the process playing heavy games likes Asphalt 9 and what not, takes 12 hours of game play. Heats up just a bit and that's after like 5 hours of non stop gaming... I mean this thing is unreal.. I got it for 24000 Kenya shillings that would translate to about $240. At that time I am doing this I have almost filled up the phone with Apps and videos and everything. I have like 10GB of space left, only! And this beat is just running smoothly like I can't even explain! Goodness me! I have experienced very minimal lagging, and that is probably mostly due to the fact that I using 3G and not 4G. I am one happy customer! The camera is insane. It is not as unstable as I thought it would be when I waswatching its cons review by tech spurt and others... Or maybe they have improved the EA version i dunno... But whooa!! Goodness me hail Honor! Can't imagine what a View 20 or something would be like...

the phone from 3 store guy did say this phone was well underrated , how true he was. Well it seems Now new 8X even better.
