I use to choose 5-7 ayāt and aim to repeat them 350-500 times through out my day, Then I started to time myself for 45 minutes morning and evening. Then I tried this method, doing a page a day, but it will call for a lot of revision. The more you repeat the less revision you would need. It’s best to repeat a page 100x each day, because if you forget you will only need to look once or be corrected once for retention. My experience 😊

@@oceanzpryncifyq depending on how long the verses are, it takes about 3-4 hours to repeat 5-7 ayāt 350-500 in one sitting, but then you don’t have to do it all in one sitting, 20-50 throughout your day is another way to reach the 350-500. 100x a page varies and I would give it 2-2hrs & 45min

@@Gem_ina_dark_world_ wait so do you read the entire page at once and then repeat it again and again or do you take for example a third of a page and then repeat that for 20-50, then the second third, then the last, and then repeat all of them

I also find that picking a qari that you like and listening to them recite while you read also helps to really solidify it, especially if you are older and struggle with pronunciation (Almost like it would get stuck in your head). Then you can listen to that same recitation as you are revising and you will start to notice sometimes you might even "hear" the ayat in your head just as you would "see" the page in your mind while revising as it helps to recite it similarly every time (I am 28 and non-arab so it's difficult to recite without sounding monotonous which isn't pleasing for your brain to recall. Reciting similarly to the qari really helps for anyone self-memorizing). The more senses we can utilise to memorize the better it will be retained insha allah.

As someone who also memorises one page a day in 30 minutes, here is my advice:
I like to have an English copy of the Qur'an next to my Arabic Mushaf, and as I read the ayah in arabic, i also read it in english, so it helps me connect the dots better. This has helped me learn to speak Arabic as well. Also the 'splitting the page into two halves' technique also works really well for me, you can also try that technique for a long ayah (by doing it half by half).
A Qur'an teacher on a zoom call makes the entire procedure easier as he can keep you accountable, and correct you when you make mistakes. The whole recording and listening helps but takes way too much effort, but if you are unable to afford a Qur'an teacher, then go for it.
It is tough when you first start, but it becomes a cake walk once you cross the 10 Juz mark. Start from the last Juz then go backwards since it starts off easy and progressively gets more complex. Remember, memorising Qur'an is easy. Just put in the effort.
    Allah says in the Qur'an:
"And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember. So is there anyone who will be mindful?" 54:40
    All the best, Jazakallahu Khair

I tried to memorize Quraan. So i woke up before Fajr and I start by Suarat al baqarah, the small first and second page and I memorise it at 15min or 20min. Which make me existed to memorize all the Qur'an. Btw I'm still in the way, didn't memorize it yet.

I GUARANTEE that you will get better, and you will also start to understand and speak arabic better... so much good stuff. I know it is hard, (I did this myself, im almost done with it, just few jus left) but brother I advise you really to take some time for it you will thank me I assure you, 😉.

I don’t really use a method but I do something very similar. I break the page into parts.
It definitely depends on the number of ayat on the page, how big/small they are, if there is a connected story/theme
First I would start by reading the page and getting familiar with it, or sometimes the surah or listening to it.
Then when I start to memorize I usually break it into 2 parts or 3 parts. Memorize it, connect it, review, on constant repeat. Then recite to the teacher who helps me find any mistakes in my memorization. Note those down and review that page.
Also try connecting the last ayah to the next pages beginning ayah. That way you always know what comes next.
If you have difficulty with a word just repeat the word, start slow and then move faster till it becomes natural.
One thing I love my teacher does is to test me on multiple random ayat within several Surah’s I’ve passed. “Continue reading from x” or “read the third حتّا”and usually he’ll try to make it a mutashabihat
And a thing I personally like to do is recite from the beginning of the surah to the latest page so if I just finished reciting 7th page of Nahl, I’ll do pages 1-7. This strengthens the hifdh. Hope this helps anyone

What counts is not how much and fast you memorize…what actually counts is how mich you understand and act upon on what you have memorized.
Dont forget, Prophet ﷺ warned about a people who’d recite the Qur’an but it would not go down their throat (meaning; the verses did not touch their hearts nor their acted upon them)
This is a warning to everyone who wants to memorize the Qur’an, please pay close attention to understanding and acting upon it

Im a Quran memorization student under a teacher. I have been doing it for a while and can confirm that the more you memorize, the easier it gets over time to memorize and even read the Quran.
Heres tips I can give from my experience:
    1. Listen to your favorite Qari, repeat after them, learn to articulate words before actually memorizing. This streamlines the memorizing process a lot.
    2. Revision is crucial if you want to remember. This broter in the video has a good schedule and spends a whole day revising. People that say to repeat ayat 100x to never forget are being too unrealistic. After all Allah swt made mankind forgetful on purpose. Have a process that best fits you and stick with it.
    3. Don’t take even a day off of memorization. If you’re trying to be self taught and not under a teacher, never take a single day off or you can derail yourself and become lazy.
My process of memorization is this:
Try to memorize half a page each day, read each ayah 7-10 times with good tajweed. Afterwards, do the same process but without looking for each ayah. Once finished read the whole thing 3-7 times without looking.
