So apparently the lore for Hollow Earth is that HG shot Meteor Z into the Earth's core (which should've killed the entire planet but I guess apocalypses just don't end the world in PVZ) and apparently there were a bunch of dinosaurs inside the Earth. I'm pretty sure that's just the plot of one of the Ice Age movies but either way it's canon.
