@@Araxijiro Depends how you look at it. She was Snow's stepmom but she was forced into the marriage. She never acted as Snow's mom and Snow's dad never loved her. She also was never biologically related to any of them. She was pretty much just a roommate in Snow's castle with a fancy title.

1:07 - this scene cracks me up every time. It was so random yet so very them - bickering during a potentially life or death crisis about the most mundane of things. Also, the obvious disdain and exasperation in Regina's voice when she asked why Emma chose yellow and Emma's pouty response and quiet indignation...🤣🤣🤣
It always amazed me how Emma was never angry at Regina, after all she was the reason why she grew up without a family and not knowing who she was.

Because she blamed her parents for this, even after knowing the truth and at the end of the day it was their choice to dump her and make her a savior. And also all of this were manipulated by Rumpelstiltskin. Probably it would've been differently if Regina succeeded in killing one of them or both.
And also Regina is the most real character of this fairytale people, her reasons were too human and bc of that it was easier to Emma to connect with someone who was good and evil at the same time.

Yeah it’s just because of the crazy family tree in the show. They aren’t related and Regina was never a parental figure or guide for her but, their acquaintances makes it a bit weird. Them sharing custody of a child is what I like about their potential. If she wasn’t snows step then it wouldn’t have been weird at all. She never really even felt like a mom to snow in the enchanted forest more like a best friend or big sister. Especially since their age wasn’t that far apart she’s like 8-10 years older than snow so, her being a stepmom/mother figure really didn’t fit.
