@@odie2763 actually I’ve owned and given away several to nephews and nieces before they became so overpriced. My first BM was given to me by an uncle. I still edc the 945 aluminum handle. Btw I retired at 50 and own multiple properties, own, not mortgaged. Buying a bunch of frivolous overpriced hype is not the best path to financial freedom.

What happened to benchmade? Overpriced and WC issues. They were the knife company that got me into quality knives but I haven’t bought one since the immunity.
They also abandoned their original claim to fame (quality american made balisongs) and recently made one of the worst value balisongs ever…
I quit buying their slapped together crap years ago when they told me that an axis lock failing a very lite spine wack test was normal.
I like thevfixed blades except for the full jimping on the back. A little jimping for your thumb is all you need.

I have 13 Benchmades. Love em. I got to play with the new 9400 Osborne in a local store the other day. They whipped that puppy out from under the counter and told me I could get it on the 18th. Their price was $306. Gonna grab it to add to my standard 940 and 9400. Hell yea!
I want a Bugout & Mini Bugout in burnt copper / magnacut like the new osborne folders.
The 940 for $270 and 60-62hrc magnacut?! No freaking way. Needs to be AT LEAST 63. 64-65 would be ideal for a folder. Yall are smoking crack.

I can not understand the imaginative competitive edge when you got the Narrows and mini for 5-600 dollars! It could be in every mans pocket if it just costed less. I think anybody wants it. They sure look cool and great materials.

3:46 The 593BK-01 is absolutely *INCREDIBLE* looking! 😍 I only wish it wasn't an AUTO!! One of the greatest things I love about my Benchmade collection is flicking them open and closed! Maybe some day we can get a manual version and shave down the price a little bit? I want to keep expanding my collection, but it's getting harder and harder with each passing year... ;~;

Dude I haven’t heard anyone who actually likes the Narrows. It’s way to thin to use comfortably, way to light to be tough, and way way overpriced.
I love a benchmade knife but I wish they try to brink back some of their discontinued knives because some of those were pretty good to me it just looks like they make the same knife just a different color now don’t get me wrong benchmade is a knife I will take anywhere because that’s the knife I trust the most it has gotten me out of so many jams I can’t even remember all i am saying is I like a little more variety

I left Benchmade because of the ridiculous price they are getting. You can get just as good, and better for half the price.

Prices are too damn high
Benchmade was the first nice knife I bought when I turned 18. I bought a 710 for 145 bucks. And then a 940. I wish you guys still made knives for the working class for the guys that use them. Everything is way over priced and the only innovation seems to be what new color something is going to come in for the hipsters with rilled pant cuff and hiking boots when they have never been camping outside a campground. I was wishing and hoping you guys would bring back the 710 and I swore I’d buy it if you did, then I saw the price… I don’t know what changed in this company besides all the hipsters that flock to it but no one wants to pay 400 for a pocket knife and use it only to damage it.
My knives are not that spendy. Cannot justify those prices.
I bought a lot of knives. Some of them are from Benchmade. The Benchmades have naturally rose to the top of my regular carry. When I first started buying knives, I wasn't a fan, then I bought a Bugout to see what the fuss was about. Now, I carry one in my pocket every day. I know prices have gone up, but there hasn't been a drop in quality. If the price is too high for me, I either skip it or save up. I see a few in this video I just might save up for.

The fact that yall just change the shitty scales more than the blade steel is bananas. Makes sense since ya heat treats and edge geometries are pretty total dogshit from the factory.

And their HEAT TREAT on almost every steel is too soft. 60-61 hrc magnacut? You gotta be kidding me.

I’ve got 2 Benchmades in Magnacut I’ve never noticed a single issue with them they’re great steel. And their heat treat is 60-62. Larrin Thomas the creator of Magnacut recommends a heat treat between 60-64 and Benchmade hit that mark so what’s the problem?
I haven't been excited for anything Benchmade since they discontinued the Protagonist. I'm more of a fixed blade guy, and making your knives in purple and orange isn't going to make them appeal to me.
Glad Benchmade can still afford to produce American products using American-sourced materials. I just wished this American could afford them. 😢

My g10/20cv Bugout is my fav knife (of my ~50 ), but ZERO chance id ever spend anywhere close to the price of even the standard grivory model, for it...

How is the Narrows in anyway Iconic? Iconically overpriced?? Bugout and 940 are 2 of my favorite knives but if anyone is buying them at these prices they need their heads checked.

Used to be a benchmade guy, until they spoke woke. And started charging 500$ for a pocket knife.
First and foremost. BM, get your head out of your a$$es.
Second, fix your damn prices. No one is gonna spend $400 for a folder with some G10 scales and S30V steel.
There are other knife makers who are making way better knives than you guys. If you guys wanna go the way of the dodo, keep doing what you’re doing and soon all your customers will be going to your competitors.
