      Hi Shaun. I’m a very keen club player. I’ve saved like crazy and just invested in a cue from John parriss and a set of aramith 1g balls. Is playing with better balls than my local club going to improve my game? Maybe you could do a video on comparison between the two

    Sending this message just after the World Championship final ended. I just wanted to say that you are just a complete inspiration to me and I'm sure to others as well. It sounds as if the past few years have been tough but hopefully the Crucible crowd tonight reminded you how much you are loved by fans everywhere. We've missed you at the top.
    Right behind you for future success. I know you can be a world champion and triple crown winner again!

    Hi Shaun and thanks for the videos. Could you do a tutorial how to aim when playing with side spin because usually when I play with side I miss very often because I don't know how I should be aiming. And other suggestion would be how to play shots when your bridge has to be on the cushion and when the ball is close to the cushion and further.

    Hi Shaun!
    I am a great admirer of your game and a big fan of your "rolls royce" cue action and now the fact that you are connected by us -fans- through youtube is a tremendous feeling. LOVED your video about the deep screw and how important it is in positional play.
    But I think being an amateur, the first fear that kicks in while going for a deep screw or applying any side, is MISCUE. Whats more irritating is that it has happened to the likes of The Rocket, John Higgins, yourself, Selby etc, that too during professional events.
    So Can you do a video on Miscues as in what instigates it, what prevents it, its relation with tip shapes and sizes etc?
    and just so you know, i was rooting for you against bingham in that epic crucible final. :D

      If you think he's wrong, he is right. It's almost impossible to deep screw like Shawn because of the cloth on club tables. The table Shawn uses is very thin and produces less friction which allows you to put more action into the ball.

    • @melisos
      @melisos 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matt Williams and SoundVlsion are right. If you play snooker or pool, you know you cannot make that long deep screw back shot on old,club cloth or the cloth with not 100% contain of wool. You can have the best technique, it is almost impossible, but silicon spray on balls can be helpful. Anyway Shaun´s technique is almost perfect.

    Hi Shaun. Can you explain what you think of elbow drop? I see most snooker players limit their elbow drop, but you and Ronnie seem to drop it a bit, espescially on shots that require more power.

    Hi Shaun thanks for the great tutorial! I've noticed that there is an upwards flick on the cue when you (and other pros) follow through on a deep screw delivery. Does that help the shot in some way?
