One fist forward generally creates a decent pressure wave around the body especially at the speed of sound.

What a fun ride! That's a noisy Nobby! Marty, you just keep me in want of another new wheel. Of all wheels you've tested, this one leaves you almost speechless. Your physical emotion is quite profound. Wheel revelation! I used to cycle tour, recumbent bicycle, a few decades ago. I loved it. Especially long tours. This wheel seems made for it. I have watched videos of a tour of the Himalayas, ~5000 km, ridden on a 84v Nikola. The tour vistas were stunning. Even a stop near a Mt. Everest base camp. Voyaging on a wheel. What an adventure. Anyway, I'm looking forward to more in-depth videos on the Sherman. Thanks Marty. Peace from Maine...Guy

Photo Booth Start Up well, it’s worth 3k to me. I’d prefer a Sherman with a 1600wh battery for 2k since I don’t need all that range.
I mean you are getting more for the money. Batteries are expensive.

It doesn’t exhibit any instability, which is quite an engineering feat in itself. The weight and tire were initially thought of as negatives by many, but this review challenges those notions. Could everything on this wheel from the nuts and bolts to the crash bar be by design?
Marty, did you ever think EUC technology would reach these heights?

    • @ElectricUnicycles

Lol. Yeah. Inmotion sells more than anyone yet no one on these forums would even admit to riding one. A Ferrari is completely superior to a Honda yet which company makes more money and sells more? Economies of scale. Selling more for less always makes you more than selling less for more unless you have very large brand capitalization. This new wheel is so expensive they will sell low volumes. And disappear soon. Ferrari isn't even on the list, Type R is on 2 spots ;-) and thats a HIGH speed track. Imagine a short twisty track where the Type R really shines...

Many riders are 30+ and have the cash to afford this wheel (instead or as an addition to a car or motorbike for example in the city). But time will tell. Im glad if they push the other manufacturers to make better wheels, competition is allways good ;) More high quality wheels competing normally means peice goes down and quality up

I laugh when you go by some of the people and they stop what they are doing to turn and watch as you go by. With all of the riding that you have done, most of the people there seem a bit shocked to see you going that fast on just one wheel. A great video and wheel. It does rain is So Cal. Like cordless electric tools.

      @@TechShizzleRacing
Here is a list of changes and improvements on the production model King Song S18:
Adjustable Pedal -Structural: The pedals are adjustable allowing riders to lower the platform by 2cm. This allows riders of different heights to have better control and increased comfort levels on the S18.
Mudguard- Back fender: Previous mudguard was secured by glue and one screw. The final production is secured by a total of 3, one on each shell and one in between with the addition of glue.
Tiring rubbing noise: Some prototypes experienced a rubbing noise issue. The tire we used on prototype is a little bit wider than massive production, and the mainboard holder tubes had some errors, so the tire might be pushed to one side and scratched the body shell. We’ve adjusted the moldings/dimensions to eliminate these issues.
Wobbliness: Users experienced issues where the wheel would wobble when braking. After testing we eliminated the issue being suspension related but was rather padding related. Users could not grip the wheel when braking hard, we have since increased the PU pad thickness from 4mm to 12mm.
Top of wheel hurting inner knee: The padding was not thick enough causing the knee to interact with the harder elements of the wheel. Final production will have increased the PU pad thickness from 4mm to 12mm.
Body shell: Some users experienced the case not being durable enough when crashing. We started using a material with more flexibility causing it to be less brittle. ABS+PC.
Outer shells popping off: Users experienced the white body panels coming off when crashing, we have increased the thickness of the clips so they don’t come off as easily.
Handle: Sometimes the trigger button gets stuck, we’ve added a crystal silicon logo above the button to create a uniform force downwards.
Steel Slide: To increase the durability of our suspension we have changed the sliders from aluminum to steel. The steel is treated to protect it against elements.
Suspension support frame: Suspension support frame is changed from space grey to gold.
Padding durability: We have changed the material for the padding so it doesn’t rub off as easily.

A word of caution to anyone on the fence about buying an EUC, thinking to themselves, _"I'll wait awhile for prices to come down and the technology to mature."_ With the pace of development and pushing the envelope of what's possible, EUCs are getting faster and faster with greater and greater range. I won't be surprised if municipalities eventually start classifying them as...well...not an automobile, obviously...but a mode of transportation requiring some sort of license or registration.
_"Will never happen!"_ some may claim. I would direct you to the example of civilian drones where just a short few years ago anyone could buy and operate one right out of the box. Now you need to license them with the FAA. So beware. If you have the money for it, get into EUCs sooner rather than later.

The price is my whole grumble. I'm hoping competition will drive prices down.
I paid nearly 2k late last year for the ks16x. For the veteran to be priced at nearly 1k more it would need suspension and speakers with the same range and speed. It should also have metal or carbon fibre side panels and no increase in weight, although this looks a lot easier to maintain than my current wheel.
For now, I feel this wheel is overpriced for what it can do, though I'm still excited for what its existence will mean for the industry.
