  • This video provides an introduction into how we represent models in factor analysis. This video focuses on the matrix notation form of representing factor analysis models. Check out ben-lambert.co... for course materials, and information regarding updates on each of the courses. Quite excitingly (for me at least), I am about to publish a whole series of new videos on Bayesian statistics on youtube. See here for information: ben-lambert.co... Accompanying this series, there will be a book: www.amazon.co....

Very clear and articulate explanation in a mathematical sense. I feel the matrix form explains it all, we do not really now need the vector form as from the above matrix equation we can implicitly see the vectors. Thanks again for the wonderful explanation though. I will watch the whole series.

Where you have explicity "epsilon_2" and turned it to "epsilon_i2", should that not have been "epsilon_4" that then becomes "epsion_i4""?

Am I right that the epsilon term in the bottom right of the video at the beginning should be subscripted with a 4 rather than a 2?

Very good video. You just made a slight mistake in naming the indices of your Lambda-Matrix in 7:30 ;)

Tob Ias i'm sorry i dont understand how are the indices supposed to be labeled?

    • @lucassauer4656

@@ddkisa944 switch the indices, so instead of 4,1 you get 1,4

Ben I think your Ys are incorrectly indexed
