EXCEEDRAFT (Episode 1)

Three men, calling themselves terrorists, hole up in a building. They demand the police, on the strength of a hostage they seized, to release Man A who is in custody. The police refuses a deal with the terrorists. Just as a police squad is ready to charge into the building to uphold their honor, a young man with a dauntless face appears and advises the squad leader. The man is Hayato Kanoh, 25. “They are not ordinary terrorists. It’s reckless to charge into the building.”
But the leader doesn’t take his advice seriously and chases him away. “Who le a civilian come here !? Step back ! Step back !” The squad starts to take action. But electromagnetic barrier of Molecule Destruction Wave spread by the terrorists makes all policemen vanish like mist.
At the same time, at the request of the Director of the National Police Agency, a newly organized unit receives orders to cope with the situation.

Man, talk about a dark first episode! I've never seen so much killing in a Tokusatsu show. I know people died in Super Sentai, but Metal Heroes is on another level with the violence.

Damn, Exceedraft is Cool AF. I have Redder toys when i was a kid with cool removable suit, and its so nostalgic.
This first episode got full on action, cold blood mass murder, traumatic kindergarten hostage situation which the teacher got shot, one of the exceedraft burned alive, redder goes fast as flash, and every single thing blow up to kingdom come... 10/10

Exceedraft was better than might be expected. The scene where Draft Redder rescues the two women from the bus by diving underwater with them was a neat twist--totally off the cuff!
This must be 80s vintage, judging from the production values. 😄🇯🇵

Toei, we can only thank you for making all these series available worldwide! I had always wanted to watch Exceedraft, Janperson and Blue SWAT and now I have the chance to do it! According to rumors, those series would also show in Brazil back in the 90s but, at a certain point, there were 17 Tokusatsu series being broadcast on different Brazilian channels at the same time, and that may have tired the audience. Even nowadays, Juspion, Changeman and Jiraiya are being broadcast on Brazilian TV on Sundays with very high ratings! So, thank you very much, Toei!!! どうもありがとうございます！

@@a2b3d5 Bem aí teria que contatar algum Fansub,mas teria que ser um trabalho voluntário,pois não tem remuneração para quem faz as legendas no youtube. E também tem que esperar um tempo,pois eles tbm fazem uma análise pra ver se está sincronizado e se está adequada a tradução.

EXCEEDRAFT was ALWAYS a special favorite of mine! Better action than in the American 'Marvel superhero movies' as far as I am concerned!! Shigeki Kagemaru as Hayato was a good pic for the 'action-hero' lead....................fun to watch him here, knowing that he would move on to so many other performances, especially characters in the Tsuburaya 'ULTRAMAN series' of TV shows and movies, later.

Yay, I finally get to watch the sequel to Solbrain. Good thing K.D. Lang doesn't watch tokusatsu, or she would have sued whoever wrote the opening theme. Its chorus is even more of a blatant "Constant Craving" rip-off than the one from "Anybody Seen My Baby" by the Rolling Stones.
