that photo crushed me when I kept myself open but I've lived in NYC and all the suffering you see every day required me to build walls.

We are not empathizing with the experimental subject who vomited? We think it's funny? Thanks for posting this very informative video--it gives me a logical mechanism to modulate/regulate my emotional responses.

If you're accustomed with judgemental people, first you'd emphatize with them, then you'd know best to switch it off. Then you'd be a psycho... lol I don't know just kidding
I think having a judgemental community could be nice as long as they are being front about it. Then the judger could be judged then we'd have a peer review. But if the society uses innuendo all the time, the judgements would just be stupid and cruel, so all the reason to switch it off. Also the reason why when we emphatize it's such a sleazy move for the other person to steal the context of the session to criticize us while pretending to talk about another things. That's a negative association to our empathy and I wish that guy who do that could pay some kind of compensation.

Imagine how easy life would be without empathy and a super low iq

Yes, keep researching and actually get nowhere, but that's a grant $$$. I have no empathy for any of this quasi-research. I'm wondering if psychopaths actually read very well this child's suffering and use this specific images knowingly but with malice. Let's read that, because it would mean that those areas in the brain are working but used for evil.

I know the researcher will not see this, but the secret of manipulation of empathy is assignation of inherent value of empathy by the person.
Perhaps psychopaths couldn’t experience themselves subconscious empathy and so cannot infer it’s value without the society imposing its value.
Alternatively those who subconsciously experienced more of it, will lean towards believing that empathy is the answer to all of our problems and strengthen their empathy output, since to a degree brain regulates brain.
