Great video Chris. The trailer locks are not a 100% but they sure slow them down and it makes them think twice about pulling in And just grabbing an easy trailer.
Gotta tell you Chris though I'm not jealous that you got free wood. I got probably 4 to 5 semi loads of eucalyptus that I gotta get rid of on the job that I'm on right now and I will probably have to pay to dispose of it. So I guess I am more jealous of the tree guy that he has a free place to dump it.

Chris, my dad’s simple safety measure was to park his tractor in front of the trailers, lower the front blade plow and rear set of drags, take the coil wire off and enjoy his time away after boxing in the easily towed items🪵

8" x 5ft concrete with a large I bolt dug in my yard. I back my trailer over and chain the axle. They have cut a wheel lock and destroyed a few tongue locks but the axle chain has kept the trailer at home twice.

ARLO makes a great security camera that can be setup on an app going to your phone. I use one on my property in Tennessee watching my camper. Detects motion and will zoom and track whatever it is seeing. Has great infrared and I use a solar panel to keep it charged. Mounted up in a tree where it is not very visible. Uses wifi service I have in the camper. Send me recorded video of everything it detects plus has a siren I can activate from the app as well as 2 way microphone.

Thievery is more common than we think, doesn't matter where we live. This week, Spring made the annual jump of April first to June first and it's muggy. That'll make splitting fun. I'm in Somers near Kenosha so farther south and more FIBs, both make for more hot air.

Get a few concrete stacking "Eco-Blocks" and build a long 2 block high pen to back the trailer in, then back the tractor in front with a grapple full of logs. I assume the tractor can't be shifted to neutral unless it's running. Install a hidden master switch on the tractor battery cable or remove the battery if going away. That should force more time to steal and easy to focus a security cam or 2 on your stuff. Great video!

When you said that there might be a little debris in the bucket, when I change my oil, I buy a bigger bottle of oil for a few oil changes, after the oil is drained I dump in a little bit of new oil and let that drain also, it helps flush out any dirt and most of the rest of the dirty oil, also on my trailer I use a lock on the hole for the hitch pin , just another little delay and hope they don't have a big pair of bolt cutters. I do have cameras up too.

I bought them anyway like you hoping it will deter some loser who can’t buy there own trailer. After using my Milwaukee M18 Fuel grinder with a cutoff wheel for another project at home I realized those locks aren’t stopping anyone anymore that wants my trailer bad enough. I hope the losers out there don’t use the information you provided against you.

Nothing like getting a bunch of free wood. I usually get my wood along side of the road or in the woods. I do have a place where I buy wood that is cut offs or bad wood for them for $10 for a 5x8 utility trailer load. I pick what I want out of the pile and sometimes I cut it there depends on how big they are. It's only about a mile down the road from me.

Lots of people have made many good comments but a simple one I could add is put your wheel brace on upside down.
If they want to hammer the lock then make them work for it.
I've mentioned security before because it's terrifying what can and does get stolen.
There are systems sold that are a combination of GPS and radio trackers that have a high recovery rate for stolen property.
GPS is good except when the stolen goods end up in a building or similar because the signal is very often lost. That's when they use the radio tracker for isolating to a single building after the GPS has given the area.
If your processor cost what I think I'd be putting a camp bed under the work bench in your building.
You're going to be very disappointed reporting a theft to the Police because it'll be recorded as stolen and unless it turns up in another investigation they aren't going to be actually looking for anything.
Being able to give them the exact location is another matter.

The comments about tracking devices. Our police are so overwhelmed that you could call with plate #,vehicle description, suspect info and the map of where it is and they won't even have time to fool with it. So that leaves you playing Wild West and trying to recover your own stuff. My luck the thief would call the police and I would get arrested for threatening them and trespassing and be cuffed n stuffed with my trailer sitting in their yard...

Now saying that, I use two of the wheel clamps on my trailer - same design, different manufacturer.
I also have a hitch lock (small barrel lock that fits into the hitch handle to prevent it being lifted
And a ball hitch lock similar to yours.
It’s also worth getting a tracker to put on the trailer - I have two different ones, one that connects to my battery and from my phone I can sent a text and I get a text back telling me the coordinates for where my trailer is. It’s hard to disguise the wires from the battery, so I have no doubt the tracker will be discovered if my trailer is stolen. I also have an Apple AirTag which is totally hidden on the trailer.
None of this will stop the determined thief, but should slow them down long enough for me to catch them in the act!
And you can’t beat free wood!!!!

Have you changed your process so you're no longer stacking? Seems like you'll need to employ some kids to stack all you have on the ground and keep up with that new processor?

Chris, I hate be a downer, but that lock doesn't look like it'll stop someone from removing the tire that you lock up. What's to stop them from taking the tire off and replacing it with the spare tire that's on the side of the trailer? Tracking devices are almost fool proof. Couple that with some hidden intentional identifying marks that only you know of, in case its stolen, and then you have your trailer back.

Also, those trailers that have bolted on tongues, can simply be unbolted and replaced. The thieves are getting very clever with these battery operated tools. When they want a catalytic converter off the exhaust, they jack vehicle up, cut it out with electric saw-zaw, and away they go. If I had to store trailer off site, I'd chain it up at three different points with heavy thick chains, attached to cemented anchors in the ground and cement pad on top. That's where I'd put my money as an investment into good security. And why not spend another couple thousand dollars to secure a $13,000 item?

Chris gets to going so fast with that banjo music, and now steel guitar, that the oil prob just evaps!! A possible answer might be little holes drilled in the push plate slider, then a shot of grease from the bar nose little greaser gun every once in awhile. He couldn't burn that off so fast!! More likely, it goes with the wood. More BTU's!! - When these jackasses come after your trailer, they WILL come prepared! Police scanners, walkie talkies, impact wrenches, jacks, cutters, torches, prob even some 'lookouts'!! And they'll know where to look for any tracker, and disable it, leaving nothing with any possibility of DNA or prints, or tracking! Those touch sensitive anti theft outfits that set off sirens, or send an alert to your phone, would be pretty hard to defeat. Maybe.
