Preordered this right away last year, have previous brown and blue editions, just love this text layout! Was disappointed right away they did another red letter edition Love the full Yapp, goatskin has a great feel, the blue was my favorite of the 3. Had a major flaw with how the book block was tab in off center so my yapp is twice as long on one side Keeping it anyway…appreciating its uniqueness!!! Thanks for all you work Tim!
Thanks for the review!! This Bible is on sale on Amazon for Black Friday! So I just bought it. I bought my first Schuyler Bible this month and was so excited. But my husband doesn’t like the thinner paper of 28gsm. I tend to agree where I feel it might wrinkle or rip easily. I was a bit bummed because I love the Schuyler Bible look. However, I love how this Bible is a beautiful green and with thicker paper. :)
I had to buy one. They had a sale yesterday I picked it uo for $98. I have two in the blue. One for a back up. Now the Geeen looks even better with the generous Yapp. I had to have one.
I saw this one in preorder status recently. Also recently was a killer deal on a brown goatskin version of this so I bought that so I wouldn't feel like I "needed" the fancy new green one...but the green one is very tempting too!
Although raised hubs look nice. They are purely aesthetic now. In the past they were sewn in and actually strengthened the spine. I will say that Thomas Nelson knocked these editions out of the park. I really can't think of a better do it all Bible.
CSB has been my main translation since the mid-00s, but I've really enjoyed the NKJV whenever I read one. I've never had a high-priced bible, usually get them in the $40-50 range, but I'm very tempted to grab one of these while I can still get it for a decent price.
Great review!! I have the one in black, without the raised hubs. I’m thinking of getting it rebound. Not sure yet what color, but I do want goatskin. I missed the limited edition blue, but I will be getting the green. I do like a red letter, especially a good one. So, I’m very excited to get that one.
I’ve had the original black letter text one, and the brown one. I really like the look of the green one as green is my favorite color. However, I prefer black letter only. Question, is the green edition superior in paper quality or clearness/readability of font? Thanks and I enjoy your reviews
Tim, I just bought one of these, and it seems like the cover is thinner and not as supple as some of the other Thomas Nelson Bibles I have. I have the Maclaren Large Print in black goatskin, and it seems to be a better cover than the Premier Collection green. Does the dying seem to make the covers less flexible and supple?
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews I had a dark brown LSB Large Print Wide Margin in goatskin, and it almost felt like it was plastic, and seemed like the liner and the cover were the same piece of material.
Hey brother, I bought one of these and it is beautiful! I am only concerned with the size, 11 inches. The thickness is perfect, but I would prefer it to be a bit shorter. Do you have any suggestions or does this size not really matter when bringing it back and forth to church? I prefer NKJV and something fairly thin. The cost doesn’t really matter, if that helps.
They have one that is in the verse art series. It’s the same layout, slightly smaller font. As far as the Premier Collection I don’t see anything in the immediate future, but I also don’t see everything coming out.

That is one beautiful Bible!
It’s not easy being a Green.

You did the right thing.
Thanks for the review and comparison Tim. 👌
I'm tickled to have been there for the unedited version. 😉😁🥰
😂😂😂😂😂😂 shhhhh
Me too! Was it Thomas Nelson calling?

I just picked up a second one and then ordered one for my wife from Amazon. I have a Quentel in Blue with the Full Yap.
That’s a beauty of a bible brother!
Thank you, Tim. Enjoyed them both 🙂

Thank you,Tim🌹🌹🌹🌹

Yessir! I have a video called “Bible Terms 101” where I talk about that!
This looks nearly rebound with the yap, painted page edges, gilt lines! Amazing review under 5 mins!

I have the same black older version myself..but this beauty is coming in a few days.
Thank you! This looks like one I might buy… Love your reviews

Same, I have the original black letter as well and had it rebound.
The green and blue ones are gorgeous! I just hope they’d stop making Premier Collections with words of Christ in red!
Good looking Bible. I’m not much of a paragraph layout guy tho
How about nicknaming it the Green Hornet?
You should also have the brown and burgundy ones to make it complete.
I don’t believe this one was made in the burgundy. I have all those.

The brown ones are the least supple for me. But to your point, it does seem the black ones are the softest. Not sure why.

This is the one I bring to church with me. I love it. They do have some compacts available in NKJV in the Maclaren series.
Look up my video where I’m wearing a blond wig and talking about the “just right” compact.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews will do, I appreciate it!
Do you know if Thomas Nelson plans on coming out with a thinline edition that is not in large print? Specifically in the premier collection.

Do you think the yapp could be trained?
Yes. But it takes some time.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews thank you so much
You could feather it back..
Man i had that blue one and someone stole it : ( I would love to get one again, would you consider selling the blue version ?
I don’t have it any more.
Been thinking I need to get one and I'd then proceed to remove the original ribbons and add purple ones and redo the art gilt to purple
Is that way the channel is named nickels worth? Because the reviews are 5 mins and under? Genius lol 💡
Yep! And it’s also a play off my last name! My channel trailer explains it but hardly anyone watches it. 😂😂😂
Too bad about those corners. 😬
Those are in an acceptable range for non custom work.
NKJV is OK, but you need a real bible, like NASB or LSB.
OK.
