I find the scene where Elinor is listening to Marianne playing piano and Edward is standing behind her just spectacular. While it is about seeing someone for who they are (Elinor is crying, she is letting her guards down for the first time in front of Edward - even if for a little bit), it is also a parallel with Colonel Brandon seeing Marianne for the first time. While I was watching film i found this scene interesting, because normally (from my experience) the attention of a man falls on the woman who plays piano, not the one who listens - that's why I was greatly touched by this moment - Edward wasn't watching Marianne, and the shot shows it beautifully -- his focus was on Elinor, holding the door, thinking of her father, crying, the beauty of her vulnerability, while Marianne in the scene is blurred. THAT is how a person who likes/loves someone is looking at them, even when the subject of an attraction does not see them -- everything but THE ONE is blurred, not important, it is there, but they do not wish noticing anything but the one they love. What a beautiful and touching film indeed
Just finished reading Sense and Sensibility for the first time and Edward and Elinor's love for each other is truly so so touching! Not expressed in so many words as Marianne would, but the intensity is there so strongly regardless!

Totally agree! The cinematography on this film was phenomenal

I love this... it’s so real feeling and immersive. Thank you and well done.
Thanks very much!
It feels like I'm there. Elinor is reading while I am writing letters and Marianne is having a turn at the piano.
Amazing. Please do more. I have loads of ideas.
