I got my copy recently, and I'm grateful for this video, but I noticed there's even more errata now. I'd suggest anyone who reads this should go to the FAQ linked in the description if you wanna incorporate absolutely all of it. Particularly, there was errata about a certain scenario's rules, without which, I think that scenario would end up being drastically harder.
Very awesome work! Received my copy here in Canada this weekend and this made all the little changes so easy to follow. Thank you very much! Adventure awaits, huzzah :D
Yeah it was pretty surprising. I didn’t get into Gloomhaven until the second printing so I’m not sure if it had a similar number of issues. Thanks for checking out the video!
it's pretty sickening the impact the errata has on gameplay. We already encountered tons of question marks on scenario 4, "read only if you completed scenario #2" and it was just NO text if you didn't. And I hear IF you completed #2 the narrative would be super weird and make no sense as a previous "ally" in the story just turn on you for no reason. And we opened an envelope about enchanting and it told us to add stickers for purchasing items... everyone was put off by the amount of mistakes that were so blatant like that
I'm not sure I can consider this riddled with errors. Look at the size of the game. Even just the monsters alone it's 3 missprints out of 344 cards. That's not even 1%. The errors seem normal to me even with scruitiny.
@@kosterix123 Definitely fair to expect worst print issues in the first printing, but in this case hindsight is 20/20 and I think a lot more people would have backed it at $125-150 if they knew it would retail for $250 by the end of the campaign.
@@kosterix123 I mean, I'm playing it and am 15 scenarios in or so. It's a huge improvement over Gloomhaven, especially out-of-combat. The outpost phase, road events, crafting, etc., are all really well done. I watched the video because last night was the first time I came across a print issue with envelope 85 (so one out of 15 scenarios ain't bad). It was obvious to correct it and you couldn't really screw it up if you tried (it says to put on sticker 14 but there isn't one). Meanwhile sticker 15 is right there and is labeled the same as the inside of the envelope. So all in all these print issues have had zero impact on my game. And overall it is an immensely deep and expansive experience. Can't get it on my table enough.
@@kosterix123 The US and Canada has almost 100% shipping fulfilled I believe. I think the rest of the world may lag behind a bit on delivery. I got my copy way back in mid-November, so we've been playing about a scenario a week on average since we opened it.
seems to me if they would have made some of that stuff in an APP instead of physical could Errata easier and also reduced the cost by not printing all that and reduce shipping since it would weigh less ?
I wouldn’t have backed it if it relied that heavily on an app. I don’t mind apps (Mansions of Madness 2 is one of my favorites) but if a game CAN do something without the app I prefer that it does.
the app is great it leviates a lot of busy work to automation damage token / monster attack cards + suffhling / monster modifier / a lot of turn effects are correctly handled when we first introduced the app it reduced the scenario duration by ~20min
I find in actual play that these are actually very minor issues - given the amount of space, fully reviewing it several times to catch all these tiny things would have been prohibitively expensive. It looks like a ton in a list like this, but when you play it, its a minor issue in every 5-10 sessions, 90% of which solve themselves. The only real issue is that deck with the wrong order. Aeon Trespass (a superior game, for me) has worse issues, including actual quest bugs and so, so many causes for questions in the discord. Great overview still, needed one to link to a friend, and this one was it :)
There’s a lot to be annoyed with regarding the errata. However, the name of that book I just don’t think is one of them since, as J mentioned, the name is public knowledge from the start.

Congrats on getting your copy! I know Canada has been having a heck of a time with fulfillment for this game.
Happy the video was helpful!
A very helpful video, but I'm thoroughly shocked by the number of errata considering the development lead time and pairs of eyes on this.

This thing is surprisingly riddled with errors considering how much time they had. Thanks for the video!

6:19 you marked the left tile as 11-c. Faq states the right tile is 11-c not the left.
Holy crap really?? I promise I know left from right. I’ll have to go back and check that…
Thanks man. Good looking out. 👍👍
Thanks for watching, Brian!
Baffled by the amount of errors
Useful thank you
You’re welcome, David. Thanks for watching!
You mention a book of solo scenarios. This is not listed in the contents and I havent got a copy with my game
The solo scenarios were a separate add-on you had to purchase.
@@BoredOnlineBoardOffline Thanks. Great video.

Really pisses me off that due to these errata, it’s spoiled the name of that small book and now I know what it is, just based on the name. Ffs.
It's referred to as such in the rulebook component inventory... not really a secret
