It's good to test your ability, it helped me to gain confidence and earn some reputation for sure. In many Services based companies its mandatory to have certificates as well,but certificate alone is not good enough ...to get any job..

What is the validity of the certificate ?
1 year , you can extend this to another year for free, you will have to write one simple exam
