TwinCAT3 - CoE Reading and Writing

Several EtherCAT devices expose their parameters to the PLC via CAN over EtherCAT (CoE) protocol. In this video, we will learn how to interact with them through CoE reads and writes.

Great video, I would like to read the serial number of the I/O from the online data. Is it possible with the same read block?

What about coe elements that just have a 4 digit number for example i have a coe entry that is just 4013. There no + symbol to open it and view a subindex.

Hi, try to check this address entry on the manual of the hardware you are using. The Windex may be zero

@@twincatemy8997 It was third party hardware and they ended doing some other abstract acquisition method documented deep in the manual. I reached out to beckhoff and they said you can't really grab coe elements that don't have the index
