- Planet Zoo allows us to build a global franchise, and that's exactly what we're going to do in this Franchise Mode let's play. Starting in the Great White North, slowly spreading across the world, The Elite Zoo Company will be a household name by the end of this playthrough. Either that or we'll have gone bankrupt, or be eaten alive by animals that have broken free - let's find out!

Feeling pretty good about today's extensions / progress! There's a lot more for me to do - I've seen your comments regarding naming the animals, and trading the younglings for conservation credits. For a future exhibit make a mountain like habitat. Animals could climb and be viewed on top of a mountain.

in the spider and snake exhibits, you should name the female "mom" and the male "dad"...that way when they breed you know who needs to go without question

I do this too, since the critter pop gets quickly out of control.
Money can be made this way, i once had a pile of critters in the trade that added up to over 15k. It was a great help for my debt 😆
Also whenever my warrhogs, peafowl, etc animals with large litters i put a R (Released) next to the names of the ones who will be released into the wild when matured. Just to make cleaning house quick & done.
What I've been doing is looking at the Age of the exhibit animals, The parents are older that the kids, I just select the ones that are younger and move them out.
Additionally when they start to get close to the end of their life span I get the best female of the litter and look on the trading post for the best male I can get and continue like that.
( Or the other way around if none of my females are good and I have better males)
I vote “pronghorn perch” as the tower and “bison boulevard” as the exhibit so you get a piece of each little part of the exhibit in both names.

I personally really enjoy the longer time lapses of the building so there's more time for other stuff.
I agree it's a little annoying watch the party's do/undo for an entire hour.
I also really enjoy the time lapses as it seems it lets more happen in the hour than what it would without having them.
@@melodelicc that is also a part of the problem though, it would take a lot more time for him to make an episode.

I clicked on an another's youtuber's video about planet zoo and it was theirs 7th or 8th episode and they have so much more progress and all, but when I watched few first videos I figured out that they also play off screen alot and don't film it all, sp I appreciate very much that he films all of it, even the management stuff because I find it entertaining and I see how it's all being built, made, etc.

I know it’s not a good name but the bison and pronghorn area could be called Bovidae Bay because bovidae is the term for hoofed animal

For the cafeteria area call it “the watering hole” for the bison or even African buffalo when you get there
Maybe add more reptiles near the above food court since the tortoise is a reptile so it can be like a theme or maybe some amphibians since you don’t have any yet :)
You need more food and enrichment on both sides of the tortoise arch, maybe food and water at the top too. By the time they make it over they are hungry and dehydrated
Also, you need a vet, keeper hut and staff room in the north work zone.

Sometimes I'll think "man, why are you not making it more simple for yourself" before noticing the settings and all simply didn't exist. And then other times I'll stare at the huge red sign saying "no vendor" while you're talking about "oh maybe they can't reach the shop due to the roof" 😭 it's equally hilarious and painful. I'd advise building new facilities for the new habitat soon - that's a long walk to feed the animals! You might experience some issues with the keepers. All you really need is a new keeper hut and staffroom.

Honestly, I think the timelapses are good, and maybe should have some more. Its loads better to see stuff being built at speed than too see you spend ages fiddling around with stuff. Just my two cents

i have never caught an episode of this so close to it coming out. this is currently my favourite series to watch. Makes me want to get the game even more; even though I usually am pretty bad at the city/tycoon building esque games. But I love them anyway lol.
The tower or habitat could be called Prong horn point
It wouldn't really fit the theme for the bison etc but a tree through the circle on the watch tower would look dope

I haven't been able to get this game yet (waiting for a sale lol) but I'm enjoying watching you manager it sooo much, and you're inspiring me to try some many things once I do get it! Also, I don't know if you've done anything like this in the past (If you have, please link me! I'm new.) I would love a sort of tutorial on building tools for Planet Zoo! You know, little tricks, and basics for beginers? :) Keep up the awesome job!

Ok more edit now I finished the video lol. I think you could do like a reptile or rodent area near the Omnomnom area to draw more people there. As for the watch tower name I think Eagle View, or Bird View, or something like that since they're sorta "up in the air" watching.

Yea maybe close the walking circle around Wolve enclosure with a new Enclosure there, will make it look more complete for sure. Also abit suprisd there isnt a Moose option, that would have bin a nice N.American animal to display or Mountain Lion. Others I miss is Jaguar for South Americas or Alligators for North. Still thats what DLC's are for I guess

I like something simple as 'Eagle watch' or 'Eagle's nest' for the tower, since that'd be the animal looking down on the great plains of North America, I imagine.
It's actually kind of funny, I live near D.C. and I was really sad when the National Zoo closed down the invertebrate house (which, obviously, is where the creepy crawlies and other invertebrates were housed) because it was probably my favorite exhibit there.
I want your channel to grow but at the same time I’m like, then you won’t be able to reply to every comment lol
Love the series and how detailed you are in your playthrough. I was one of those 41% who were watching without being subscribed before episode 9, but I've since subscribed! Some feedback/suggestions:
- Now that you have a more steady cash flow, raise the food quality for the animals?
- Don't forget to edit the maintenance routines for the new enclosure with the bisons
- A name for the tower "Grassland Peak" as it's a peaking point
-I think there is a bump on the pathway leading up to the food court that is not being used at all next to the tortoises, maybe that's why it cannot be accessed?
-Will you be expanding to the right and left soon? Seems like the staff pathway with the power will keep on being elongated if you only move northbound.
- Springboks are quite profitable, easy to maintain and give you plenty of conservation credits when being released.
-Be mindful of the timber wolf alpha fights because they could lead to guest dissatisfaction/protesting
haven't finished the episode yet, but as of right now i think you forgot to make the bison enclosure part of the workzone. will edit this after if you didn't. lol

I honestly LOVE "The Watchtower" as a name for the watchtower. Reminds me of "All Along the Watchtower," the Bob Dylan song.
I've just binged watched the entire 10 episodes in one day, and it really makes me want to download this game! but that does mean i need steam I'm guessing. also my favourite quote "we've done a lot of research *zooms into something on the ground* that is a giant poop, but yes we have been doing a lot of research"

No lie, I was refreshing for like 10m after I watched #9 this morning (I live in Israel so I'm 7h time difference from EST) went to the dog park and when I came back I realized I didn't have all notifications on for you. Long story short, that won't happen again.
Also, this is my fav franchise planet zoo let's play and it's not just bc you're also a proud Ontarian.
I'm digging this so far. Maybe in that section by the OmNomNom you can add a bright and fun animal to keep that section upbeat and give people a good show while they stuff their faces with burgers lol. I was thinking flamingos but those probably don't fit the Americas theme? Either way, I think your plan for the next episode sounds good!
As a tip, if you make your entire enclosure out of glass it can curve, then you can replace your glass with whichever type of fencing you want and it keeps the curve :)
I think the reason you're my favourite youtuber to watch playing this is because I can't afford a computer to play the game myself, but watching you play it is satisfying because it's how I imagine I would play it too. So thanks again for uploading these

Have you thought about having an underground staff that connects with the energy and water source from below? Just an idea! I think the staff need smaller grounds to cover. And I agree we need exhibits by nom noms! But once you starting adding to the left then people will start going that way. I love this zoo! I love this channel! I look forward to watching everyday!

I started watching Season 2 and now I am waiting Season 1 as well. I would love to build my own Zoo... It would be a wonderful Idea to show the parks of other players as a Zoo tour series.
You never even clicked on the pronghorn once you released them to check if they liked the exhibit, you just kept going to the bison 😢
NAME SUGGESTIONS!!!
Your tower, being in the Americas, reminds me of the Cherokee creation story where the world is suspended, (hanging from the sky like the platform) and surrounded by water. Its too much of an image now for me to not suggest giving a nod to Cherokee culture in the name! Yansi means Buffalo in cherokee, Elohi means earth - elohi tower - the earth tower, the yansi plains for the exhibit name - not a pun, but just too perfect a coincidence to not feature as the native American culture and the animals of the Americas are so intertwined.
I come to this channel bc I want to see the Zoo series, and now I watch your Soviet series, really appreciate how much you put in every episode, let's go for 100k!
You should dedicate an episode to making sure every thing is just running smoothly. Like focusing on enrichment habitat size and all of that.
This series has been incredible. I love the look of this game and your voice is great! You are doing such a great job please don’t pick up the pace I reckon you get more done when you are taking your time:)
Would be nice to see the animals a little bit more using the animal camera they are amazing!
Deffo need more staff facilities across the zoo-breaks my heart to see the staff making those journeys (also might be why there is rubbish everywhere because the staff aren’t getting everywhere in time)
Please give the tortoises some food enrichment on the arch they literally take 6 months(game time) to get across lol

I love how particular you are like me. when you said you wouldn't be able to go to sleep at night with because of the unevenness of the fence, I was like same lol.
Handy trick: if you want rounded barriers to your habitat you can make them with the glass barriers and then change them to the barrier you ant and they will keep the curved shape

The time lapses are one of my favorite things about this series, don't apologize for them :)
A trick i found with the wooden barrier is that you can have it curve if you lay a barrier that does curve first e.g. glass and then switch it out for the wood.

Hey, so if you want a curved enclosure wall, you can make the entire wall with glass, then turn it to wood, and it will stay curved, but be turned to whatever type of barrier you want.
I loved this episode I know I'm still far in the series and got lots more to see but maybe ontop by the tower make a real 360 view point where they can see all around.. because I feel like at the moment it's only showing the one side completely

I have been binge watching these episodes because I just got the game and I have no idea how to play, watching you is very helpful! Bonus points for you because you have such a nice voice and the mic does well for it hahaha
couple of things, 1. the water fall in the new exhibit is going through the windows at the bottom. 2. You never added the new exhibit itself into the new work zone(the barriers) 3. To make things easier, especially with the snakes and spiders name them "mom and dad" to keep it organized :) LOVE this series!!
Name Ideas: Pronghorn Plaza, Bison Bay, The Grasslands
You could put a restroom or information booth in the tower to encourage attendance to the tower. Also, if you put a souvinear shop near the grizzlies, you could call it The Bear Necessities
Pro Tip, if you build your Habitat Wall with a wall that is able to curve, such as the hedge, and then replace it with a wall that cannot curve such as the Wooden Barrier, the curve will persist and you will have a curved wooden barrier. It looks much cleaner, especially when you view it from far away :)

Some things:
You didn't add the bison habitat to Americas (North) work zone.
For making curved walls, or even just for pllaning habitats without spending money, use the invisible barrier (that can be curved) as it costs $0. Then, once you like the result, simply select the whole wall and substitute it with the one you want (that way you can have curved log walls.)
For selecting the childs, I have found it's easier using the zoo management screen (1st left button, shortcut is 1), animals tab. There you can see all the animals , their ages, etc. I'd love for it to be filterable by species though. But way easier than doing it through the habitat/exhibit menus.
I'm not 100% sure but for the trash cans you should put them inside the paths, not to the side. When you were puting more I think I saw all of them were empty and they definitely have trash inside when they are used. (aaand just saw in the underground food court they are using them even tho they are to the side so disregard this)
For the changing of the drink stall, you were doing good when using the grid (group) from the burguer one that was there (again that whole grid-group concept system). It wasn't adding the connecting path but you can do it after the shop is placed and you would have it perfectly aligned as it were.
Finally, for those things that bug you out or the ones you struggle with, like pathing, building, etc.(I know those systems could have been done so much better, but it is what it is I guess) There's a youtuber named
PaulsLey that has a full tips and tricks playlist on planet zoo. They are short videos ( ~20 mins) where he explains a topic in detail. He has one for paths, another for buildings, how to use the grid, underwater views, etc. You don't have to watch them all at once but can watch the one you're struggling with at that moment. It will make you're life easier and will help you wrap your head around the whole grid-path concepts
I would just like to take a moment for the makers of this game, it has endless info, so ,such detail and little things like all the programming that went into the animals that is just amazing
I dont mind things like this at 32.00 not being in a time lapse, because you are trying to problem solve and that is interesting (for me a least)to watch the process. I prefer the just building parts to be time lapsed because thats more of designing and figuring out the look that you want to go for.
But as someone who cant get this game on my current computer, your my fave to watch as you take so many suggestions from people watching, it feels like all of our zoo. 👍

It's so nice to see your progress! Also amazing to hear you still do Planet Zoo things. Keep it up! I just found out about your channel and your Planet Zoo 'episodes' about 3 days ago. I'm now 15 and ever scince I was 7 I have loved reading about, watching documentries, and watching people play games like these about animals! I plan on watching these for awhile.. It's nice to see your imporvement and your excitement over new animals and such, I think your commentary is great. I find myself liking every video!
