The Front Bottoms was a great band to grow up with. Every single song and album serves as a nice transition from silly childhood to confusing and uncomfortable adolescence. And now as I'm becoming a grown man, I find that TFB is still so very relatable. These songs have raised me as well as my books or my parents.

I personally attribute this song to myself and my friend. As I have found myself growing way faster. Going to school, doing more in life, as he stays kind of in the same place. No matter how frustrating it gets, I can't seem to drop him out of my mind as a friend. I miss the early mornings of smoking weed and playing trials fusion with him and my other half. The simplicity before our adult issues. The mindless friendship before stress, bitterness, and responsibility. No matter how much these tensions between us seem to grow, I remain grateful to him as he reminds me to live life, simply by living his where i can see. I miss vacation town, but when we get together in our apartment and smoke, its okay to go back for a bit, its okay because no one's around. Idk fam. This song got them feels.

Honestly, I kinda like the direction they seem to be going in. Their self-titled will probably always be my favorite album of all time, but this song gives me some nice Vibes. Besides, bands change and evolve. That's just part of being an artist, and a human being.
