Well, I don't know if it is of interest, but those classes are much more then just Ballet for young girls (and boys). I'm 71, male, and had a dissection from the upper aorta (something you usually die and got a emergence surgery with an artificial aorta, 2 ictuses (with partial laming) and later also a surgery for an abdominal neorisma. I went cross all kind of physiotherapist, yoga etc etc. I made never in my life Ballet, but about 18 months ago I discovered the Turbo Cardio Ballet Class from Maria and made it every morning for a year and since summer I make this Barre Beginners Class here, every, but really every morning (except Adagio, because I cannot rise my legs higher [for now] then 80cm). I finish it with balance exercises for 1 minute on one leg dx/sx and then for 1 minute in elevé dx/sx and flat on one foot with closed eyes dx/sx (but I can hold this for now only for 15"). ........I just wish to report how incredibly helpful it is not so much only for the muscles, but for the brain. My whole neurological health and my cognitive capacities improved in an incredible level, my whole ictus problems went away and during the combinations I see myself like under a microscope. I feel immediately if my body relaxed during the night by discovering if I make more mistakes on the left or on right side. It is amazing to see how suddenly sometimes you forgot how to finish a combination and how the body memory helps to recover again. Keep in mind, you are alone in the room, and you cannot follow always Maria on the IPAD, because you have to turn the head mostly on the other side:) and you have nobody in front of you to copy. And here comes the the geniality of Maria: the Music she has chosen, or the pianist she has chosen, but it is incredibly helpful, indeed! You can link the combinations to the melodie of the music, and it is not just dump rhythmic like I saw in other ballet classes. ..... My advise if somebody else would copy me: be patient, actually be very, extremely patient, go slow, you do not have to push your body and if you do it regularly, then first you will learn that there are much more elements to consider in an combination, so the exercises with time become more interesting and richer in the execution and after 3-4 months you will discover the surprises that you got it. In our age, with patient, we can even learn after time to make pirouettes, and if I could learn spotting, I could make even two or three, because one became meanwhile easy. (well king of:) .... Today our culture is not yet ready for this, and if you look for a real class to attend, then the mothers around would suspect you as a pedofil and would eat you with their eyes. Some are lucky and have grandchildren who go in Ballet-classes, they will probably consider you as crazy, but after 3-4 months they could be proud of you. Anyway, I'm sure that in 10-20 years this will be very much accepted, it brings too much advantages ---- I just notices I'm writing a book here, so if you do it, have fun, and again be very slow and patient!!!
Dear Maria I am so touched and impressed with your interest in teaching at such a young age and as you rise to the top as a ballerina. Thank you for all your recent class posts. You are very generous, kind and dedicated - not to mention talented!! - and you have cheered me up immensely during this awful time. All power and success to you!
Thank you so so much for the kindest words! It's the incredible motivation for me to continue moving in this direction and continue making videos here! My best wishes to you! Xx 😘

Beginner adult, here... WOW. That was insanely difficult and I looked like a flailing octopus, without a doubt! But I don’t think I’ve ever felt my legs so much and I absolutely loved the combos. I hope if I do this every day for a few months, it will begin to semble something of “ballet”. 🥵
This is the best ballet type exercises I’ve ever seen on the net. Well filmed, articulated, elegant, classic, accurate and easy to follow but challenging in the body. I’m so thankful I discovered this channel. Thank you Maria. You inspire.

Quick story lol: i started ballet 6 years ago but had to leave it for the last 3 years so of course i was behind in my technique. During all the craziness going on worldwide i begged my dad to build a barre in my room and now every day i do this class, i memorized it and practice it daily. I can see how little by little i gain back my strength, flexibility, and technique. I don't think i will ever be as amazing as you Miss Khoreva but i definitely appreciate all the time and effort you've given through these videos. I enjoy working out a lot and getting better every day. Thank you for your dedication and character and for thinking of others and giving us this awesome tools.✨❤✨❤✨
I am 49 years old and decided to start dancing again, which I have done as a child. Your videos are so helpful and inspiring, getting me back into a routine. Thank you so much for everything (I´m doing your fitness as well as your ballet videos and they are equally helpful and fun to do).
I really appreciate this. I signed up for ballet class as an adult but they do not have them in the city I now live in, so you, a true pro, offering this, gives me, the novice, an opportunity to keep practicing. Thank you!
Yes, I agree, dancing and teaching are totally different things. A good dancer have good chances to became a good teacher by learning teach first. But need to learn hard from professional school how to teach.
i kept on doing this every single day. And now i have improved my ballet. Thank you so much maria for teaching me and the other's that are watching this or following her in the video.
Hi Maria! you are my favorite ballerina of all time! I'm starting ballet because you inspired me, thank you so much for this barre class video. I hope to see more beginners barre lesson in the future because it's so helpful! have a good day!
Makes people who do this for the first time realise how easy a ballerina makes it look! Elite athletes they are, so graceful and beautiful. Fabulous class ❤
I admire you a lot and I think it's very generous of you to share your knowledge like that. Don't let silly and bitter people on social media get to you. Xx
If this is for human beginners, I felt like a one-celled organism trying to learn ballet, lol. Thank you very much for the class nevertheless! I would appreciate a class for complete beginners with no ballet experience.
Don’t feel bad, I have been doing barres for 5 years and this is still very hard for me, its not beginner because its more about placement and polishing certain aspects of your technique but its a very VERY good bar if you are at the level of accomplishing it
Obviously a first timer won't have that much rotation or be able to do it all at once, but you could certainly start with the first combination and toes turned slightly outward and progress from there.
Thank you Maria for creating a barre routine for beginners. It helps me focus on the ballet foundation. Please do more ballet routine for beginners. Thank you!! ❤️
I love this amazing ballet class - it helps me get motivated to be a better ballerina. Thank you! You are such an inspiring, beautiful, and intelligent ballerina.
I did ballet for a few years as a child and I’m now middle aged and overweight. I’d love to go to adult ballet and get fit. I can now say I’ve trained with a Russian ballerina. Ha ha I have to watch the great Russian dancers on TH-cam. It really lifts my mood in these strange times. I love your videos and feel I’m in the presence of greatness. I love our Royal Ballet but I feel that Russia is outstanding and the talent there is in another world.
This is an absolute treasure ❤️. For an adult beginner (55 yo), there’s a lot to aspire & work towards ❤️. Extremely grateful & much appreciate you sharing with us your talent & expertises 🙏. I would rather have you on full screen though, without the timer & the close up. Blessings & lots ❤️
Thank you very much for taking the time to teach us, Maria. I really enjoyed your class: the tempo, the music and your advice and explanations which I found very useful. Greetings from Belgium! Stay safe!
I used to be in ballet back when I was little. My mom took me out cuz she couldnt afford it anymore and it made me deeply sad. That was when I was 8 or 9. I'm 26 now and you have inspire me again. You have sparked something inside me to want to go into ballet again. I'm deeply sad that I wont be able to become a professional like you but I am glad that I'm still able to take classes. If I had a personal trainer, I'd choose you. 💖💖💖

Thanks for the awesome class. I love the tips before the combination. I did most of the combination on flat instead of releve and it was still challenging. Looking forward to see more of ballet class from you.
i'm here just for the very rare and little explenations and comments you give about the techniqe, the turnout and coordination. Would REALLY like a video just about explaning and showing turnout and pullup!
Thank you!! Loved your class!! I like your set up with the mirror, because, I can follow along with my mirror on my back wall, and not have to move the barre! All the best!
Maria! you are so sweet and this barre is amazing! I would not really say is for total beginners. There are some more complex combinations even to remember and the fondu on releve.. it's hard xD but you can always do it from flat. anyway, I love it and you are great! please do more for beginners!
