I'm 33 and I've spent 9 years of my life in Jail and Prison. I'm so happy to be off paper. I finished my last jail term 2 years ago when I got out of CCDC (Las Vegas jail). For the past two years I have been working and doing everything the right way. It is so crazy to see how much I have accomplished in those two years. I do get depressed knowing that I started life 10 years late. I see a lot of my friends that have careers, and Beautiful Homes. Mean while I live in a one-bedroom apartment with my girlfriend and my one year old daughter, but I am absolutely grateful. I have accomplished so much in the past few years. I am glad to be where I'm at.
whats off paper mean? I understand what you mean by you started life 10 years late. That would be difficult living with the regret, however you are doing what you can now and that isnt cliche bs. When i get down about stuff like that I read up on people who were successful later in life. I have a lot of respect for you turning your life around i mean that.

I mean, the guy has admitted his mistakes. No reason for you to dismiss him of that. Power was acting purely in self defense. So his role is completely exonerated right off the bat.

The last time I was in I decided I had enough, got released got a apt , car job and I’ve been sober for 11yrs and turned my life around. But I’m sorry to say the one thing I don’t agree with keeping the same people in your , you need to remove those people from your life because it only proves , you continue to have them in your life you continue to do bad things. I hope if your reading this that you realize that you can have a great life and maybe start leading by example, it doesn’t make you soft . Where ever you are in life now I hope your doing better.
Not everyone CAN be rehabilitated. That's the first thing that must be acknowledged. Violent criminals don't belong on the streets with the freedom to roam around unchecked unless they've shown major remorse, acceptance of responsibility & change after a lengthy sentence. Only a team of trained mental health professionals should be allowed to make that call. Malignant narcissists, sadistic sexual offenders, psychopaths & similar personality types must remain segregated indefinitely.
My brother and I had a terrible beginning to our lives. Mother abandon us left us for dead. Father found us, but he was an severely abusive parent. Most kids that face this type of life end up in jail or worse, death. But, we did not use it as a crutch to do bad things, because we made the choice not to bad stuff. We both are very successful and have great families of our own. We made the choice to do the right things, and it paid off. So, these type of people who blame their life structure growing up as the reason to do the things they do, I say are so weak. You and you alone make choices, and you and you alone are the reason you have failed.
I would really like to know WHY our Province got to PAY for this guy who committed murder in NFLD. They should be paying for him??? How is he paying for his rent, haircuts, shopping spree, phone etc... If he doesn't have a job??? I want to learn how to live that well,... Now that would be a doc worth watching...
If this young man had done this in Texas he would be sitting on death row. He would have been charged with capital murder because his situation would have been seen as an aggravated robbery, which resulted in a death. It doesn't matter that it was his friend. It doesn't matter it accidentally went off. The state looks at it like this. This young man and his friends went to that house to commit a aggravated robbery. Somebody died in the commission of a felony. That makes his friend's death a capital murder. His friend that was acquitted would have been charged with capital murder as well. He would either end up on death row with Mr. Pynn, or testify against him, and still do life without parole.
I’m US citizen. Canada’s system and numbers make us look even sadder than I thought. Shows how punishment and rehab can work when it’s not purely based on profit.

Childhood friend of mine caught a 18 piece at 15 yrs old for manslaughter with only 2 prior offenses, and this kid got 8 yrs with over 120 prior convictions? Canada is all play play huh 😂

The person that killed my 11 week old cousin got 7 years for manslaughter and 3 years for child abuse resulting in death. All happened in Missouri. The individual did 8 years total but the state of Missouri tried releasing after 4 years and my family put a stop to it happening.

jail sucks. It does not take courage to go to jail anyone can do it. Its courage to go to work everyday and be a good husband and father. Cut all your friends off, stay clean, and live a normal life.
He's all about image, and nothing else. How about getting a job landscaping or in construction labour and learning about what it's like to work for a living, even if you have to start out as a volunteer. Gain some respect for your work ethic and loyalty to a job well done. Maybe then you might get some respect on a meaningful level. Maybe you might even realize that you have talents you never knew you had. Maybe you'll get promoted or even venture out on your own as a contractor earning a living the honest way. Maybe you'll realize that there are people in this world who have been through hell and back but didn't turn to crime as a way out and maybe you'll find people to look up to that aren't criminals. If you can't accept this truth, then you'll wind up homeless, or back in prison or dead. What a great life huh. Prove yourself as respectable human being, and you will be rewarded. Stop the excuses and rationalizing your warped mindset.
Sounds right to me, and most citizens so I do agree. I think to rationalize his decision making as a lack of " pull your boot straps up and be like us" is short sighted. Not everyone has the same tools to work with. The brain is not equal or one size fits all, many diseases disable the ability to be that citizen you have described. However, we must look inside to find that problem. The accomplishments you speak of are reinforced by society norms and standards but many people disagree with many laws. People in LA wouldnt understand the standards of a west virgina citizen, they have considered many rural people as uneducated and many other inferior things. It boils down to finding your own truth and your own way. Maybe his way is crime. Think about it, without crime many of people have no work or need for structured law. Its a food chain and it takes all kinds. I believe you simply choose the most correct way to do anything in a particular situation. If you continue to not be the worst and strive to become better in each situation then you will slowly gain enlightenment. Many people dont work for a living, or what you are describing as work. Many crimes go unpunished by the hardest working and most respected people. Its what can you do to survive and sleep at night, that's it, please yourself and if thats not enough for the judgements of the people without flaw, let them throw the first stone. Its all man made. Man made by all types, good, bad, and flat out evil.

Mom is in total and complete denial. My mother worked hard to support 3 kids and when I started screwing up SHE called the cops on me because she knew she raised me better. She never pulled the..."Oh the cops are never gonna leave my son alone." B.S....she straight up said...when you're ready to live according to how you were raised, come see me. Until then I don't want anything to do with you. And you know what...she was right. I hate this whole..."My baby ain't hurt nobody"...type of victimhood. You didn't raise your kid right and now he's a terror. Stop making excuses.
There’s so many things I can say about this but I’ll just say a couple. First I’d like to say that I’m a felon. I’ve done my time , got off paper finally few years back and I’ve moved on. When I went I was among maybe 4-5 convicts that were actually guilty. Admitting our guilt. Everyone else in there, you know, they too were being picked on and they NEVER did anything wrong, etc...Narcissism makes me want to throw up. I’ve seen so much of it it’s literally sickening. His own mother (a seasoned con herself) even says that when he gets out the cops just ain’t goin to leave him alone and he just doesn’t do anything wrong. WOW. That’s the problem. All of them (that doesn’t want to be a responsible contributing citizen and abide by laws) are like this. It’s NEVER their fault. I swear their narcissism oozes out of their pours. Never their fault. Someone is ALWAYS out to get them. And more times than not something extremely small gets them going by bumping their shoulder in crowded rm or someone is supposedly looking at them or “their girl”. Absolutely crazy. If you really want to change you HAVE to admit who you are. Take the blame when it’s yours. It was all I could take to watch this narcissistic KID tell is life story. I hope you find your way. If you and your mother are transparent in YOUR beliefs in who YOU are and don’t like what you see and is looking for a better way of life your complete honesty within YOURSELF is the ONLY way to go. ✌🏻

A few points to consider: He was out a week and failed a drug test for opiates...where do we think that's going? He blames everyone but himself. His upbringing. The system. Drugs. Sure he says it's his fault but contradicts himself many times. He is a manipulative criminal who is well aware the camera is on. What do we think he would be like with his criminal friends and no cameras? He spends all his time on the outside shopping, getting haircuts and new tats... not exactly volunteering at a soup kitchen. Or humble Do we think posting muscle pics with gang tats and signs is showing a change in personality? Do you see any guilt, shame or real remorse? Or a put on for the camera. " the public will just have to get over I'm out" is not exactly saying " I hope in time I can show with my actions I've changed and gain some acceptance by society"... Open your eyes people. There gets to be a point in ones journey when it late. Do you actual change here or just words?

JKL Enterprises Tattoos hold meaning for a lot of people, and a lot of people get into the habit of working out. Those aren’t signs that a man is not humble. There are also some masterful tattoo artists in prisons, who do insane work, especially when they get out and get tools (but many without all that). I know some cons who can hook you up with a tattoo for nothing or next to nothing. Your other opinions are well thought out...I just disagree on some points.

@@brittaolson6550 Yes. My brother has done about a total of 14 years in prison. That doesn't include time in jail or juvenile detention. He is probably the most talented tattoo artist I have ever seen. He made trades for commissary by drawing pictures, making cards, writing poetry, decorating envelopes, making stationary, and doing tattoos for the other inmates. He has always been extremely talented in arts, but he improved more and more with every prison sentence. He was released in 2013. He opened a tattoo shop and he was the only artist. He got his license/certification to do piercings as well. His one man tattoo shop is now 2 shops with 12 employees and his shops are one of the top rated shops for tattoos and piercings in the area. He started drinking when he was 9, smoking pot when he was 12, and doing meth and heroin by 13. He joined a gang and from the ages of 12 to 18, he spent more time in juvenile detention then he spent out. At 18, he was with a group of friends and they stopped and picked up a young lady that was hitchhiking. His friend murdered her. After he was released from prison for that, he was only out for 3 months before he was picked up again for armed robbery. He turned 41 in October. He was almost 35 when he finally realized that kind of life wasn't going to get him anywhere other than a life sentence in prison. He already had 2 felonies and the 3rd strike would be an automatic life sentence. I'm glad he was able to do it, but I know how hard it was. He was only able to do it because he has support. Yes, a lot of it was his hard work and dedication, but if didn't have parents with money that were able to help buy his shop, he would have gone right back to dealing drugs. People like the guy in this video, are screwed. He doesn't have the good family support or a good mom to cheer him on. It's really sad.
Canada justice system is ridiculous. Always has been way too lenient. The first line he says in this documentary is cocky as hell. People are gonna have to deal with me being out. Ya buddy, but probably not for long...pretty sure you’re gonna be right back in there again.

I feel bad for him. I worked with a guy like him for a while, and he tried really, really hard to break the cycle. Sadly after I left the job I saw him hanging out with his old friends and doing/dealing drugs again. It's a whole different world that they can't get out of, and it's not as simple as other people may think. It's psychologically very difficult because they grew up like this. It's hard-wired in them to make excuses etc. Reasoning won't work. I hope both of them are able to break the cycle someday, before it kills them or someone else gets killed.

It's not a tough vibe, its a natural tension that develops from constantly being tight, ready, and cautious. Its a forced relaxed look because their is no actual relax for some time, never really do you loose all the tension. Just a little fyi, you think a life long violent criminal, down for most of his life aint tough you are severely mistaken. Why do ppl make these sort of videos for. I'm a Australian I live in Australia. I was locked up in 1993 to 2002. I was 19 years old . Was almost 30 when released. I've been out 19 years now. Never gone back to prison ..I struggle to get work because of my past. But I haven't let that make me do crime. If you gonna winge about things make up excuses .. don't do the crime

This is showing how the system doesn't work hard enough to rehabilitate criminals where he lives. It seems like he tried to do it the legal way, but got sick of the run-around and went back to what he knows works. It's not a failure on the criminals' parts, it's a failure on the system's part.

If this young man had done this in Texas he would be sitting on death row. He would have been charged with capital murder because his situation would have been seen as an aggravated robbery, which resulted in a death. It doesn't matter that it was his friend. It doesn't matter it accidentally went off. The state looks at it like this. This young man and his friends went to that house to commit a aggravated robbery. Somebody died in the commission of a felony. That makes his friend's death a capital murder. His friend that was acquitted would have been charged with capital murder as well. He would either end up on death row with Mr. Pynn, or testify against him, and still do life without parole.

The person that killed my 11 week old cousin got 7 years for manslaughter and 3 years for child abuse resulting in death. All happened in Missouri. The individual did 8 years total but the state of Missouri tried releasing after 4 years and my family put a stop to it happening.

Sounds right to me, and most citizens so I do agree. I think to rationalize his decision making as a lack of " pull your boot straps up and be like us" is short sighted. Not everyone has the same tools to work with. The brain is not equal or one size fits all, many diseases disable the ability to be that citizen you have described. However, we must look inside to find that problem. The accomplishments you speak of are reinforced by society norms and standards but many people disagree with many laws. People in LA wouldnt understand the standards of a west virgina citizen, they have considered many rural people as uneducated and many other inferior things. It boils down to finding your own truth and your own way. Maybe his way is crime. Think about it, without crime many of people have no work or need for structured law. Its a food chain and it takes all kinds. I believe you simply choose the most correct way to do anything in a particular situation. If you continue to not be the worst and strive to become better in each situation then you will slowly gain enlightenment. Many people dont work for a living, or what you are describing as work. Many crimes go unpunished by the hardest working and most respected people. There’s so many things I can say about this but I’ll just say a couple. First I’d like to say that I’m a felon. I’ve done my time , got off paper finally few years back and I’ve moved on. When I went I was among maybe 4-5 convicts that were actually guilty. Admitting our guilt. Everyone else in there, you know, they too were being picked on and they NEVER did anything wrong, etc...Narcissism makes me want to throw up. I’ve seen so much of it it’s literally sickening. His own mother (a seasoned con herself) even says that when he gets out the cops just ain’t goin to leave him alone and he just doesn’t do anything wrong. WOW. That’s the problem. All of them (that doesn’t want to be a responsible contributing citizen and abide by laws) are like this. It’s NEVER their fault. I swear their narcissism oozes out of their pours. Never their fault. Someone is ALWAYS out to get them. And more times than not something extremely small gets them going by bumping their shoulder in crowded rm or someone is supposedly looking at them or “their girl”. Absolutely crazy. If you really want to change you HAVE to admit who you are. Take the blame when it’s yours. It was all I could take to watch this narcissistic KID tell is life story. I hope you find your way. He was out a week and failed a drug test for opiates...where do we think that's going?

There are also some masterful tattoo artists in prisons, who do insane work, especially when they get out and get tools (but many without all that). I know some cons who can hook you up with a tattoo for nothing or next to nothing. Your other opinions are well thought out...I just disagree on some points.

@@brittaolson6550 Yes. My brother has done about a total of 14 years in prison. That doesn't include time in jail or juvenile detention. He is probably the most talented tattoo artist I have ever seen. He made trades for commissary by drawing pictures, making cards, writing poetry, decorating envelopes, making stationary, and doing tattoos for the other inmates. He has always been extremely talented in arts, but he improved more and more with every prison sentence. He was released in 2013. He opened a tattoo shop and he was the only artist. He got his license/certification to do piercings as well. His one man tattoo shop is now 2 shops with 12 employees and his shops are one of the top rated shops for tattoos and piercings in the area. He started drinking when he was 9, smoking pot when he was 12, and doing meth and heroin by 13. He joined a gang and from the ages of 12 to 18, he spent more time in juvenile detention then he spent out. At 18, he was with a group of friends and they stopped and picked up a young lady that was hitchhiking. His friend murdered her. After he was released from prison for that, he was only out for 3 months before he was picked up again for armed robbery. He turned 41 in October. He was almost 35 when he finally realized that kind of life wasn't going to get him anywhere other than a life sentence in prison. He already had 2 felonies and the 3rd strike would be an automatic life sentence. I'm glad he was able to do it, but I know how hard it was. He was only able to do it because he has support. Yes, a lot of it was his hard work and dedication, but if didn't have parents with money that were able to help buy his shop, he would have gone right back to dealing drugs. People like the guy in this video, are screwed. He doesn't have the good family support or a good mom to cheer him on. It's really sad.

I feel bad for him. I worked with a guy like him for a while, and he tried really, really hard to break the cycle. Sadly after I left the job I saw him hanging out with his old friends and doing/dealing drugs again. It's a whole different world that they can't get out of, and it's not as simple as other people may think. It's psychologically very difficult because they grew up like this. It's hard-wired in them to make excuses etc. Reasoning won't work. I hope both of them are able to break the cycle someday, before it kills them or someone else gets killed.
