As a former trucker myself, who was governed at 70 MPH i had issues at times like this where I go to pass a 4 wheeler and they will suddenly speed up or won't let me pass, which is an asshole move, but after realizing they won't let me pass I just got back in behind them, some 4 wheelers can be real assholes to truckers.

I have respect for truckers. I never get in their way . Everytime Im coming off the exit and a trucker is coming on the interstate, instead of trying to speed ahead of him, I step on my brakes & slow down. And every single time, the trucker moves to the other lane to let me on if no cars are coming. BIG respect to truckers!!!💪🏼👊🏼

Ask yourself what kind of an idiot moves into a lane with an 80,000 pound vehicle traveling in that fast lane? To top it all off then proceeds to slow down rather than accelerate, and hardly hard room to begin with.
The person merging HAS to make sure it is safe to merge, that's the law.
Have you ever had to shift in a big rig? The truck driver is in the fast lane, they should not have had to slow down if the bonehead SUV driver could just exercise some damn patience.
You can only downshift when dropping speed and then revving rpms. Harder to stop that much weight VS the SUV just freaking waiting until it was safe to go.
If I could spare some IQ points for you I would, but honestly all you've shown is to be a waste of oxygen.

The left lane is a passing lane. The car is not maintaining it's speed which is causing the truck to pass. The minute the truck goes to pass the car speeds up or paces the truck so it can't pass. Actually, it's a law in most states that states that you're supposed to allow a vehicle that's overtaking you in the left lane to pass.

Fortunately i drive at night only so i can get away with just cruising in the left lane til the car giving me issues takes their exit or speeds up/slows down. They usually get the picture when im chillin right beside em.
Whats ironic is the worst offenders are usually other truck drivers. Catch up to a guy doing 5 or 6 mph less than me just to speed up when i get up on him and find out were both governed at 68. Hills dont help either since im usually pretty heavy 🫤

    1. A large % of semis have their speed governed. Speed is set by company ranging from 55 to 75. Some trucks are not governed at all and can keep up with you no matter what.
    2. The car was being an inconvenience. It is not illegal to be an inconvenience. Just makes you an asshole to the trucker and some those forced to slow down as a result.
    3. Semi driver wasn't rude he was aggressive trying to force the car to speed up or down by creeping across the line...aggressive driving IS illegal.
As a trucker, I can tell you this happens to all drivers on a regular basis. There is no excuse for being aggressive. Speed up and pass, slow down, and get behind if you need to catch the granny lane. Otherwise, wait it out in the 🔨 lane. Hint, sitting in the 🔨 lane is usually the wrong answer!

Helpful indeed and there is a reason to why trucks in the United States are set to 65 miles per hour it's stopped in the northeast parts of the Great Lakes it's very common for them to cross into Ontario and quebec where 65 mph (105 kmh) is the speed limit for them. This is going to be more common in Europe where they are set to 55 miles per hour 90 km per hour.
Western states 55-70 mph Because States like Idaho Wyoming and Montana use 70 miles per hour Washington State 60 Oregon and California 55 mph.

Bro I drive from la to vegas. MOST of these trucks are absolutely NOT governed at 60. They consistently go 70-75 and pass each other like it’s fuckin leap frog on a two lane highway. Who gives a damn if a faster car is coming up in the left lane just cut them off and pass the other truck.

It’s easy to say, coming from somebody who doesn’t drive a truck or never has. In a truck you are governed, which means you can’t go above a certain speed. Usually In a semi that speed is between 60-70 mph. If you’re in a semi and the speed limit is 70 and you are able to go that speed, but you have a car going 60 mph that speeds up when you pass, that car is killing your calculated ETA ( This might not be common knowledge but the basis of the job is getting from a shipper to receiver in a ridiculously short time frame most times, so when you see us moving, we have somewhere to be and every mile and minute count) and making himself a danger to himself and everyone on the road. The point in this lesson which has flown over your head, when you see a semi you need to steer clear. Normal cars can brake, speed up and maneuver 10x quicker and better than a semi, so it’s on you to use competence when we come rolling through.

People are so tribal in this country, it's actually unbelievable.
Rules of the road are rules of the road, and a turn signal does not Grant you right of way in any situation. Period. Not for big trucks not for little cars not for bicycles, a turn signal is a warning that you would like to turn.
Also, most states have a law prohibiting tractor-trailers from driving in the left lane. The tractor-trailer could have been breaking the law just being in the left lane, and if he was a good truck driver he would have seen the grade coming and known he couldn't make the pass, slow down and got behind the little car. The car wasn’t giving space, this is the reason the man in the video is explaining the situation and adding that most trucks are governed. The car was speeding up to remain in the way. The truck had no choice, being in the left lane for extended periods in a semi is dangerous. In most states it is usually leaning to the left and lumpy. The truck didn’t cut the car off to be aggressive, the car was clearly being the empty headed aggressor here. This is coming from a truck driver who experiences this nonsense daily.
