This is the first time I've seen the updated version of this and I really like the changes. A few notes, the baseball clips were from the time Yuki got to do the first pitch and Swan sang the Korean National anthem for a Korean National League team. Chaein(my bias) was "discovered" in 2014 on the show Kpop Stars (she was also on the 2012 version of the show but didn't place) and signed by YG. YG wasted both her and Ireh and they both came to RBW in 2020 (the last members to sign). Chaein had been a trainee for 7 years when they debuted. Swan has been getting a lot of solo attention recently. She just did a cover of Bad Guy. The things you should watch include their two pre debut videos My Heart Skip a Beat (choreographed by Chaein, Ireh, and Dosie, including the camerar positions) and Can We Talk Again. You really need to see the Halloween version of Zombie, they remixed the song made some changes to the choreo and dialed the horror up. I like it better than the original version. And the title track memeM. You also could do an album listen. All 4 are great, they really are a no skip group. One last thing. Debut and every comeback they do a short intro song with a video. The one for Zombie was Freaky Perky that go remade into Pretty Psycho. All of them are fantastic. Illusion and Bye Bye Bully are contenders for my favoite song on their respective albums.
I hope you do more Purple Kiss! Their newest comeback is SO BASED. Out here recommending their pre debut stuff. Heart Skip a Beat, Can We Talk Again, and their 1 min intros for each album (ones they potentially turn into bsides in the future, like for example, Pretty Psycho) Crown, Freaky Purki, Illusion, Bye Bye Bully and Save Me!
I would suggest SuMMer RaiN performed Live on TongTongCulture and also their introduction songs which your heard snippets of in the guide, which can be found under the Playlist tab on their youtube named 'Debut Trailer'. Also, they have cute short story films for memeM and Geekyland albums.
41:20 Idk about Swan participating in writing, but being a guide vocal in songs is basically how the actual singer/s can get a feel of how the finished song will sound like and since it's a guide, the actual singers can make a few adjustments to fit their vocals. Basically like how we follow cooking recipes or make dance covers, you base what you want to do on something, and can either copy it or make a few twists to fit you. Also, Mamamoo's "Wind Flower" was released back in 2018, so to know that she was the guide vocal for it when she was *15* is really impressive!
Ji Eun was one of my favorites in the group. She was such a light of sunshine, with such a cute laugh/smile. She also came off as the most immature out of a group of immature girls, even though she's the oldest. I was pretty sad that she had to leave the group, but am more happy that she decided to care for her health instead of trying to push through it. Mental health should be taken more seriously, and a lot of the time people don't or won't do so. ON A MORE HAPPIER NOTE.... Dance God Dosie is my bias and Yuki's dolphin laugh is pure joy.
I highly recommend checking out their b-sides! Honestly if I were to make a top 10 of Purple Kiss songs I think only one of the songs you've listened to so far would be on it (Pretty Psycho). They have such a great discography. And obviously they are all very involved in making their songs. Chaein really lives up to the "Genius Producer" title, and Yuki being the 2nd most credited female idol in 4th gen is amazing🥰
Purki is a no skip group for me so I’m excited to watch you discover their discography! They have 4 albums, a Christmas song, and a collab song : ) The person you said looked familiar is Edward Avila, he a TH-camr who started with kbeauty videos and now also interviews K-pop groups. His interview with Purki is so fun! I also really enjoyed their video they did with Mobidic where they have a competition to become the group’s leader. I’ve decided I cannot have on bias in Purple Kiss and triple bias Dosie, Ireh, and Yuki. It’s been a really hard month with Ji Eun leaving but I really wish her the best 💜
#1 Recommendation is a BSide... Purple Kiss : Cursor It is such a Good Song ( It Actually made me Cry T_T but in a Good way ) ( If you do check it out, Listen to the Song for the 1st time. For some reason when they made the Special Clip they took out 1+ minute of it (no hate btw)) Thanks for letting us go on this journey with you
If you want to be wowed by them you should check out some of their covers! They've gone viral several times and with good reason. My favorite covers of theirs are Overdose by EXO, Adore U by Seventeen and Bury A Friend by Billie Eilish
ty for reacting to pk! love them my fav 4th gen gg, my bias is ireh, but charin wrecks me a lot, and all other girls are fantastic more rbw groups, pls do onewe reaction 😭
So the guide is slightly outdated as Ji Eun recently left Purple Kiss due to anixety. It's been quite a sad month for PLORYs (fandom name) but all the best to her and the group. Also, PK is under the same company as Mamamoo, RBW
Love Purple Kiss
They do a Disney Medley and Ireh definitely had input on EXO's overdose relay dance cover and Swan singing Absently is heavenly.
Disney medley!!! Iconic
goeun and eunseong (dosie) also participate in song composing too 🤍

30:10 I would love to see/hear Yuki and Sua in the same room laughing, that would be iconic
SAME
Yay! Thanks so much for checking out more Purple Kiss.
Jieun being my purki bias I was feeling a bit down needing some positive content with them, searching for reactions today, and came across this tysm

Funny how you first read Cho Seoyoung and then right after said they are so young. Unintentional pun.
😂😂
Please check out Rolling Quartz, PIXY, and Pink Fantasy 💗
If you Love Dreamcatcher and Purple kiss then you will fall in love with these groups too.

She addresses both these things very early in the video
