I fixed mounting the sensor issues on a different type bike by using sugru plus zip ties. It enabled leveling the sensor to parallel with magnetic ring. Works great. Never gets out of orientation when going over bumps.

Thank you gor the fitting information, very helpfull.
Have thought of buying the kit for the last 2 years now, but come each summer the 75 year old knees still seem to cope ok.
Have passed up 3 offers from Swytch but seriously considering placing my order January 2022 if they reoffer at 50%.
Take care and thanks for the vlogs.

Im just 63 but lve had a few e-bikes now and sold them all. Just the Brompton now. The e kit for the Brompton is a bit different, as you can remove the battery and its like a normal bike again. Where my Bosch center drive mountain bikes, were almost impossible to cycle if you didnt have the power on.
      So its worth having.

@@keep-going Thank you that is a valuable confirmation of the advantages of a Swytch set up.
I have 2 Bromptons, a sumner (stripped down light) and a winter full cargo set up, + 2 in the making, one will be the Swytch version, but can swap it from bike to bike if I have a frame problem. Thanet pot holes.
Pity Brompton did not see fit to design an add-on electric kit. All the Bromptons out there would have made it very salable. Hay ho.
      Thanks again for the vlogs
      Take care

@@taber247 im surprised they didn't, but l think its to do with the UK health and safety. The e bikes that they do as stand alones are all extra strengthened.

@@keep-going Yes, doubtless the case. And the Bottom Bracket incorporates the torque and cadence sensors.
But how come the SWYTCH can be fitted.
At my age and with eletric assist I doubt I will bend the stem.
      Take care and thanks again

@@taber247 swytch its just an add on kit and not much quality to it. But it works well.
Brompton, would not back this type of kit.

You seem to have a good way of explaining things (especially about the thread size on the front and back wheel)👍😃

Just recently upgraded my Brompton with rhe swytch kit that you have in this video. Finding that my front wheel once folded, won't clip onto the rear delta frame? The hook sitting in the centre of the front wheel that hooks over the rear frame when folded doesn't quite reach over the frame bar. Do you perhaps know why or have you ran into a similar situation?

The standard hook on the Brompton won't fit and you should have a larger one supplied your kit.
      Thanks Tony.

One thing to be particularly careful about is the handlebar mount. I've seen reports that the bolts should not be tightened too far otherwise the cheap, soft plastic bolt holes simply give way. Swytch should use metal around the bolt holes but, being a little 'rough around the edges' kind of kit, they cut corners to manufacture it as cheaply as possible.

Got mine fairly slack Darren.so from time to time l have to grip it and pull it back into position.
      Cheers Tony

      Yes it does, no drag.
