Sometime it better to play slab first before pokeball since if you draw prof research it will put it at the bottom of the deck so using pokeball can shuffle the deck back.
When I run Pika, I'm using almost all old cards. Two Pika Ex, two Raichu line with new Pika, Two Electrode line (I really like the 0 retreat cost, and two baby Zapdose to just tank damage if needed. It seems pretty basic, but it's so good in almost every scenario. You almost always win if you can get Pika up early, but even if you don't Raichu can output big damage and is bulky enough to tank some hits, and has one retreat cost. Than there's electrode that's so underrated. 70 damage for two energy with 70 retreat cost is so broken. And you really need that extra energy when running Raichu. I've been playing a lot of other decks too, but this is still one of my favourites
I’m currently trying a list with 2 Pika EX, 2 Voltorb/Electrode, 2 Electebuzz, and 1 Pika/Raichu to run all the Lt. Surge targets. Figured Electrode beats out Zebstika since you have Buzz anyway
Out of curiosity, if I’m looking for a stage 2 or 3 psychic wouldn’t it be better to play pokeball then oak then slab? If you have 12 cards in your deck and are looking for Gardevoir and you play slab your odds are lower, and then when you play oak the nonpsychic card is de-milled and put back into the deck up higher
Slab ours cards that aren’t the Pokémon on the bottom of your deck! So you want to play slab - and if it isn’t a Pokémon, it’ll go to the bottom and then we can draw 3 NEW cards with research (: so poke ball - Slab - Research is the order if we want an evolution Pokémon.
I added Jinx in my Mewtwo Ex deck replacing Giovani, and it feels good against some celebi and gyrados decks as sometimes it's a good one point to two point trade.
Hi, Im new to this tcg and your videos have been helpful. I currently enough to trade for 2 raichus, since I only have one Pika (and two Zapdos) would you recomend to trade for the two raichus or i wait to trade for the second Pika ex
@@kyewhittle9418 90 damage by turn 2 is hard to deal with, I’d recommend trying out a Golem/Druddigon/Marshadow deck if you have the pieces, those always give my pika trouble
The issue with playing Jynx in mewtwo is that if it gets KOed early than you lose the game when one of your mewtwos gets KOed. It’s better for the prizing math to force your opponent to KO 2 ex Pokémon in order to win.
@@PocketMads I agree but most of the time you wont have 2 mewtwo setup with 4 energy ready to attack and do a double trade and decks like gyrados will be safe on the bench and kill your attacking mewtwo with greninja and you just lose all your energy investment, its a big risk to setup with mewtwo or mew on the frontline and sabrina can really hit you hard. And gardevoir line isn't an option at all for tanking paste turn 3. Personnaly I've had much better consistency with jinx who can one shot a fed celebi or just do big damage for your mewtwo to finish the job with pshychic sphere if you get it late for exemple. Also the risk of early Ko is slim against gyrados ex or celebi, only pikachu or blaine (and this guy is mia, havn't faced one in ages) could kill it fast enough and still the matchup is favorable to mewtwo anyway. Try swaping an X speed for jinx and have a few games with it
@@insaiyanfreek1156if you’re playing new in mewtwo it will discard but if you’re going against a mewtwo with a fire deck it won’t discard the energy because you’d essentially have fire energy on your mew so it can’t discard psychic energy
Do you think that budding expeditioner for the mewtwo deck is better than the giovanni? it makes using the Mew as a stall more viable if need be and I think you'd find more use than out the Giovanni.
Good b8s m8s. Next time if you want to ragebait even harder you can try adding some "suggestions" that are obviously dogshit, but they'll deter the people who label your shitpost as not constructive criticism! Good luck out there
How are YOU updating your decks? Which old deck improved the MOST with the new cards from Mythical Island?

Sounds a little heavy on Pokémon but lots of options is good!!!

@ thanks for the response! Makes sense!
Can you make a pika-raichu guide? I feel like my winrate is super low with it because I dont know what I should be playing into the different decks
Mythical Slab makes Mewtwo deck really consistent. It even finds Kirlia and Gardevoir faster.

Jynx is very nice for gyarados!!!
Can anyone please tell me how to use mythical slab properly? I mean which i should use first between slab, proff, and poke ball?
It depends on what your looking to draw!
Pokeball first
is there link we can check the meta

@PocketMads thank you

I’d wait for pikachu ex. It’s the core of the deck (:
Is there a world where porygon fits into the mewtwo deck? The passive ability seems super benificial in this deck
Porygon COULD be really good with Slab - but since Hitmonlee is so popular I wouldnt say its not worth it at the moment (:
I prefer the pika deck with two electabuzz and no zapdos, I feel like zapdos isn’t great in the current meta
I agree. People often like playing zapdos but it isn’t great Imo
I really struggle with the pikachu deck 😢

you need to play jinx inside mewtwo else you don't have a non Ex attacker and you take too much risk, especially with all the drudiggon

I have a question does mew discard energy if it copies psy drive if ur not running psychic energy
It does what the attack says. If the attack it’s copying says to discard energies - it’ll discard energies.

giovanni does fix some math in this format - it can be more clutch than you would expect! Budding is alittle niche if we only run 1 Mew ex
