    This was exactly what I needed! I am currently doing my final year of carpentry technical training and there is a substantial drafting project. Drawing is easy...getting it to paper...problem solved! Thanks!

    do you know any videos for the same operation in autocad 2017, because the options on the view ribbon are different and don't match your directions

    hello there, I really enjoy your videos, I find them helpful when I need it, since i'm new at this and currently working on drawings, regarding multiple viewports... I was trying to create a small circular viewport to show detail on an kitchen elevation but I was not able to create it when I click on the circle (paper space) it does not recognized the circle there... I tried it on a rectangle and no problem, but I want to use a circle instead, what am I doing wrong? I would appreciated your help thanks!

    Hello there. Thanks for the vid. When you create the viewport from object/polygons, do the outlines show up when plotted? if so, how can you print without those borders?

    • @Cadintentions
      @Cadintentions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks for watching! Viewports outlines do typically show up when printed, but it is dependant on what layer the viewport is on. You can make a layer lets say called "viewport-noplot" and set the layer to a noplot layer by clicking the small printer icon in the layer manager for that layer. Now just put your viewport on that layer ("viewport-noplot") and it wont show up when you print anymore:) Hopefully that makes sense and helps! Just let me know if you needed anything else
      Cheers,
      Brandon

    For a complex model drawings, when I use layout viewports to print, I want some objects in the model to be excluded in Viewport 1 while in Viewport 2 I want the objects to be printed. Using lalers can solve this but its very tideous and would require every object its own layer, can get complicated and confusing. Any easier way, say like create a overlay and everything within that will not plot ?

    when i double click viewport it will zoom out, even if it is already "0" in ucsfollow. how to fix this please?

    • @Cadintentions
      @Cadintentions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is your viewport Locked? If you select the viewport and hit the lock icon along the bottom, or select the viewport and right-click and choose display locked and yes, then when you double click in a viewport it will not zoom or move.
      Cheers!
