I really enjoyed and learned a lot from watching this video about electrocyclic reactions. Almost all of my doubts were cleared. The selection of conrotatory and disrotatory motion of p orbitals for thermal/photochemical reactions according to the number of pi electrons is called the Woodward-Hoffmann rule. But you didnot mention the name of this rule, if i'm not wrong. Beyound this video is excellent .

In 14:00 min , why don't we consider the configuration around the 3rd pi bond .. the one in 4th position ..it would have made the molecule trans overall ...pls answer
13:21 The overall cis and overall trans method fails if you have a substitutent on the c2 or c5 carbon for 6pi e system as it can change cis trans at that double bond. For eg, in the same question at 13:21 add methyl group at c2 in cis with 1st double bond, now you get overall trans, so stereochemistry of product change wich is incorrect if you do using logic of arrows.
