- It's the week of Hyperia, and we are on the brink of experiencing the UK's NEW tallest and fastest Roller Coaster at Thorpe Park!
In this episode we take a deep dive into the Mack Rides Hyper Coaster, as I share my thoughts and feelings on this attraction, which is set to open this Friday on the 24th May.

I was sceptical about it at first - I thought they could have done more with the space available. But since seeing it get built and start to test, my opinions have changed - all the elements look absoulutely fantastic, and it is exactly what Thorpe Park needed.
This was a great video by the way - summing up pretty much everything about Hyperia. Thoroughly enjoyed it :)
I think a lot of people are feeling the same way with the layout 👍 but I think this is one of those "less is more" kinda coasters 🔥 thank you so much! ☺️

New inversion, massive height, high speed, Mack are the manufacturers, first Rollercoaster for Thorpe Park since 2012
All of those factors make it the most anticipated Ride of all time.

Its an amazing ride, stands up to iron gwazi in my view which was the last thing I rode about 4 weeks ago. I loved it. Gonna need to go back re ride to decide which I prefer. Hope you enjoyed

Well this is a pleasant surprise, it's good to have you back buddy and I'm looking forward to getting on Hyperia although I'm not sure when that will be probably October for Fright Nights and a nighttime ride. 😁

@@ScrewyLoops I'm good thanks buddy ☺️, but after braving the opening day for Nemesis Reborn I decided to wait for the hype to calm down, although I'm currently busy making content so Fright Nights is probably my best bet to get to Thorpe Park.

Im confident in saying all enthusiats will come off saying "its great BUT i wish it went on for longer". And thats the UK all over...we get short changed because Merlin has a monopoly. Universal needs to happen to force AT and Thorpe to differentiate with bigger coasters. Also the hype is OTT because UK enthusiasts have very little new coaster content to vlog. I speculate this wont get into a top 50 worldwide but happy to be proven wrong
Hyperia is what I believe will push UK themeparks to new heights, AKA some places will get a giga

cant wait to ride on the 24th. yes slightly short, but that could be a good thing. think about dc rivals, a lot of people love it. but always has the same bad points, a little long with some elements near the end losing speed and feeling a bit slow. so i tihnk adding 1 or 2 more elements wouldnt have done too much for it. it will defo be number 1
Great way of looking at it! I can't speak for DC Rivals, but on Hyper Coaster - (Land of Legends) the finale is kinda reminiscent of Icon's 2nd half (tight turns and pops of airtime) so it really utilises the drop in speed towards the end. It's really good! But yeah I agree, I think Hyperia will have even more re-rideability thanks to the layout.
DC Rival's finale is absolutely packed with ejector airtime and it races into that brake run

Originally, I wasn't excited due to the inversions and the capacity. I'm onboard 100% with Hyperia, but the capacity with only two trains of 5 cars is still meh, but ride on!
Will be interesting to see how the capacity fares when it opens. Had good experience with Mack's though in terms of their loading systems 👍

Idk why but whenever people say that it won't top nemesis it just pisses me off 😂 Like, Nemesis is a small scale B&M invert with OTSRs while Hyperia is a hyper coaster of only 5 in the world with lap bars and world first elements. How is it not gonna be better?
True 🤣 I think it holds a special place in so many people's lives (including mine). It got me into YouTubing theme parks and stuff I suppose 😅 but I'm anticipating Hyperia could definitely take the win for me, something would have to go terribly wrong for me to say otherwise lol
@@ScrewyLoops Yeah, it doesn't hold any sentimental value for me. Colossus is the equivalent for me but I think a ride can be very special while acknowledging that it's not the best. Saying it's your 'favourite ride' simply because of sentimental vaue just defeats the point of having a favourite ride. Anyway, great that you're back on youtube!! Loved your vids back in the day!

@@ScrewyLoops me personally, I wouldn’t recommend lift hills and thrills. I don’t think you’d like him that much because he’s very annoying personally. But some channels I do recommend are parkspill, thrill riders, Digital Dan, theme park worldwide (you might already be a fan of them), Jack silkstone, Dominic Gardner and Sam Costello.
I feel like hyperia has similar vibes to Icon.
Both are built by MACK 👍 that's why the trains and track look very similar 🙂

As someone who's done tigris, it's very very uncomfortable. The only decent part being the inversion, the drops are pretty terrible. And + you barley feel it because ur thighs js get compressed like its a saw trap. Those drops will be nothing like hyperias 😅
That surprises me, although I have heard about them restraints being god awful 😂 so maybe it is

Thought i was the only one that didnt like the train, So bland. I think we are going to find this is actually a slow coaster tbh...No way it's going to speed up alot more. What is the point in a fake splashdown?
