I was trying to figure out how to de-pin the over battery fuse panel connector in my Mk1 TT for the longest time. I thought after the click that the pink part slid out lol.
Hi Ian, my Golf Mk4 originally had a oil pan with an oil sensor. I put Passat b5.5 vwk503 cluster with mfa color. The oil level is shown on the display but the temperature is not. What could be the problem?
That's strange. Oil temp and oil level is via the same sensor. Maybe play around with the settings in cluster with VCDS to see if there is a coding to adjust.
Hi, i have a seat ibiza 6l. With an 3d color mfd fresh installed. My engine is 1.6 16v, engine code bts. I don t have a senzor at all. And there is no hole in the oil bay. If i drill a hole in the place of senzor (it is marked, but not drilled) am wire the sensor (one to ignition, one to groud and one to cluster), it will work?
Yes should work as long as the colourmfd supports oil temp/level sensor input. I have never worked with colourMFD so I don’t know for sure but in theory it should work :) it is exactly the same wiring so I think do it.
Never a stupid question! They are always combo sensors. You just can’t see the level in the original clusters. You can only see level when using vcds or something similar to get into diagnostics. 👌🏽

LOL. Yeah I get you.
I think they can come out but not needed to de pin.
Great video once again, keep going ! Is there a way to see oil pressure by adding sensor and wiring the cluster?
Thanks paradron1980. Oil pressure is not supported by ColourMFA.
This is why I have that 3rd wire which will wire up like a normal aftermarket gauge 😄

It support level and temperature
@@DonDoneL sounds like it’ll work 👌🏽
Well, with the oil, everything is clear, but for coolant? Do you have any info? My expansion tank had a sensos, but i don t have the wiring for it
@@DonDoneL it should already have wiring. All car have coolant level sensor inside.
I have a stupid question
I have the 1.8tfsi tt mk2 and it has a oil temp but no oil level.
Can it be upgraded to show that to?
Never a stupid question!

@@ianpgonzaga yeah in vcds and obd eleven it says the oil level but as you said not in the original cluster. :(
Thank you for your answer
@@sminiths279 ColourMFA is your friend here then ;)
