What the young people don’t understand is that the Conservative governments of Brian Mulroney and Steven Harper Raped Canada.
They deregulated, privatized and sold everything to foreign investors, smashed unions and slapped us with the GST.
FUX news CTV, Toronto Sun and others are spitting out misinformation and propaganda the same as we saw to the south.

Right on Kevin, we need movers, shakers, producers to bring industry back to Canadian soil and make these big projects. This is what will help bolster the Canadian economy, create jobs, create wealth. Capital investment to Canada is a great thing.
We have such an abundance of resources, there is no reason Canada should be struggling economically as much as it is. The disastrous policy of the LPC and the over regulation is killing innovation in this Country.
    Make Canada great again!
I do think that SMR's and nuclear is the future for the demand of electricity that is going to be needed to power the next gen data centers but this is still a great project and will be a net boon for all Albertans.
I wish Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe could make similar deals. Western Canada needs to stick together. We are all of a similar mindset and background. Hopefully CPP gets elected this year and we can begin to right the ship after a disastrous decade of LPC incompetence!

That’s great but also start getting a fairer price for Alberta’s oil. The discount from WTI or Brent is way too much I believe, after one factors in the higher cost of refining heavy oil that typically comes from AB.
They need other markets. Problem is they can’t get enough oil to tidewaters because Canada won’t build any new pipelines.
If environmental concerns are stopping the pipelines and ports, are there ways to make such facilities safer?
Do other exporters around the world have disastrous environmental messes to constantly deal with at their ports?
What can be done to safeguard the environment while pumping oil onto tankers and navigating those ships through hazardous waters?

North, Central and South refinery will provide work in all sectors. Keep or reduce the federal powers out of Alberta. Invite all Canadians to invest in this project and keep the shares public. Alberta heritage fund needs a very large support base for strong Alberta. Selling or offering petroleum products to the US market at reduced rate is a win-win for Alberta. Mr. Wonderful is our friend for sure. Native tribes are invited and must be also part of this. Their treaty needs healing and respected, that gives hope for many generations to follow.
