I'm about to pull the trigger on 6 of these guys, but I'm concerned about the power load. Any issues running a small quantity like this on US 115v/120v power?

Hi, thanks for watching. I usually use softwate called eclipse from Blizzard lighting and sometimes wolfmixx. The eclipse software allows for more specific control. The dmx profile is in the manual. Just have to take a little time to learn how to manually enter it. Worth learning. 👍

Thanks for watching. I am going to be checking out a newer mover from shehds soon. It is a 160W LED and about 16lbs, but I am a little worried that it doesn't have enough tile to use on totems if you are on the edge of the dance floor. We will know soon enough. I do think this light will work great for any event if you are willing to transport it. I may use it on the floor or directly behind me as a center light about 8-10 ft high.

I just received two of them and I can only make them to work on sound mode or auto mode. every time I connect to analog DMX controller keeps resetting himself, And I’m trying to connect to ADJ my DMXgo, And I’ll try to create a profile but even with that it’s not really working, They keep resetting themselves, Out of nowhere

I bought a pair of 160-watt led moving heads and the shipment took 7 days from China to Canada which is not too bad. Unfortunately, 1 unit does not focus and the gears for zooming in-out is not properly working. The lights are not even as well, one is pale and one is saturated. I tried contacting Ava from SHEHDS but took me 2 days before getting a response and not very helpful. They will try to ignore you even though they are saying they have 1 year warranty BULLSHIT. This company sucks, don't buy from them.. waste of time and money.
Hey Kris! Thanks for the awesome video! Haven't been on TH-cam channels in forever it seems.. I just received 2 of these units and having a hard time setting them up Only because I am no math wizard as you mention in your videos. I get confused when it comes to channels/dmx addressing. I have a couple of older moving heads that I have setup years ago using a ADJ DMX 16ch Operator. I am looking to see if you have any inside tips and or suggestions? The manuals that came with these lights don't give you much information in regards to what all the functions do on the menu or go into detail on how to set them up. I'm doing something wrong cause as someone else mentioned mine is also kicking into reset mode when trying to program? Thanks -DJ Jimmy Z
Do you guys consider 275w to be too high to use in a private event setting? Weddings or large school dances even? I have 150w intimidators right now. I’m not trying to blind anyone out there.
Thanks for watching. I am not saying that i wouldn't use them for those types of events. I just wouldn't want to transport and set them up due to the weight. Furthermore, worrying about blindong people would have to do with the placement and how you used them. I would typically use them with the prism or frost function instead of the beam because it is so tight it wouldnt have alot of effect without some atmosphere. (Haze)

That what I do now with my Chauvet intimidator 375z’s. But I figure I can flip them for about 6-8 moving heads from both lighting and shehds. It looks like the shehds 10R is a hybrid? Beam spot and wash like the Chauvet intimidator hybrid 140 sr? Just with a 275 watt bulb instead of a 140 watt? I’d love to see them compared
@@KrisSzanto after the two 10R lights I ordered kept rebooting randomly, and I need working movers fast for my next wedding I ordered two Chauvet intimidator hybrid 140sr lights. I’ll let ya know how they compare, they should arrive today.
The 10R is not a hybrid at all it’s just a beam fixture with a frost filter inside unlike the 140SR which is an actual hybrid fixture. The 10R will be brighter due to it having a more powerful lamp than the 140( 189w vs 275w). When it comes the features the 140SR has way more than the 10R . If you want a real hybrid go with the 140SR

@@KrisSzanto That did it - thanks! I was using the light with a software controller so it was difficult to get the DMX values right. I dug up an old fader DMX controller and it became obvious. Their manual not being correct didn't help though - it says 1-50 on CH7 is "turn on", but that doesn't work. If it helps anyone down the line, it should read: 0-3 - Shutter closed 4-103 - Strobe 104-107 - Shutter open 108-207 - Strobe 208-212 - Shutter open 213-251 - Strobe (random??) 252-255 - Shutter open

Super bright I actually have 4 of the 10rs and 2 of the Chauvet Intim Spot 375z and ADJ Focus Spot 4z and paired together with either spot they really pack a punch. Another great thing is if you get roadcases from Pro X, these fit into the same XS-MH140X2W as the Chauvet 375z / ADJ 4z. my only gripe about the light is i wish that there would be replaceable gobos but for a beam light they're awesome. One thing i did find with the lights is that if you do plan on hanging them, they dont have a body mounted Safety cable loop which i solved by going to McMaster Carr and getting a 1/4-20 thread Low-Visibility Eyebolt with Shoulder and adding a nutsert into the middle of the base of the light. love the lights
We got some of these for our band. Only thing … do you have to do something special to get it to stay in DMX mode? Every time I use them I have to change the mode on the light using the menu and change it from DMX to Auto then back to DMX. Any suggestions ?
@@KrisSzanto thanks! So I’m using dmxis to control from an iPad triggered on stage. I have all the scenes programmed etc. Turn them on and the boot up. When I load my first scene (blackout scene) they respond and then when I can the next scene they never light up. I have to change the mode from DMX to Program then back to DMX and then the lights turn on. I’m sure it me but super confused
I have two 275 10R and I'm having an issue. When I program the dmx only the Pan/Tilt functions work when I start up my DMX programs (I use enttec EMU into Ableton Live 11) When I power up and go into "AUTO" first then DMX all the light functions work. Any idea what this could be?
Hey thanks for checking it out. It does not. Wouldnt leave these hung on truss and transported. However, the cases they sell keep that movement from happening.

Sorry Leon, I am not sure where you can get that done. You might want to reach out to Shehds or whoever makes the software. Sometimes they will create them for you.

You can use pretty much any dmx light with the wmx1 as long as you can get or create the profile. As a mobile dj I find the wmx1 a little hard to use with moving heads. It isnt very easy to get through the many different settings of a moving head and unless you really do some pre-programming it can be really difficult.

What do you suggest for a guy that has very little knowledge of DMX and needs some basic light shows for these type of lights I use basically all the lights you use lol And thank you for what you do! @Carlos Gomez Thanks for subscribing. I am dabbling with it right now too. I love it for uplighting, but for moving heads it seems like it is mote fit for hanging lights rather than lights on totems. Also i wish there was easier access to more channels. But.. its alot to ask for out of a simplified controller. So I will probably go back to a regular, more in depth controller. I am not sure what i would suggest in your position. Depending on the lights you use, how you use them and such... learning a more in depth dmx program is always a win. There are more.l companies trying to develop simplified controller, bit they will probably work best with whatever products they produce. Only time will tell.

I bought 2 of these 10R moving head lights from SHEHDS and they seem to randomly STOP and "Reboot" I use a chauvet obey 40 DMX controller and I had it with the wireless "DONNER" DMX adapters so I though it might be those and I switched over to hardwired DMX Cables with these 2 10R lighting being the only lights added and both of them would still "reboot" at random. It seems they dont like they get overwelmed and just quit especially when Im going through different effects using sound switch. Its almost like they cant handle it. Any Idea what might be causing it?
Hi Noah, I am sorry you are having that issue. My first guess- using the obey 40 - the 10r uses all 16 channels, channel 8 is the master dimmer which you probably use at 255 and channel 16 which is the same fader as 8 has the reset function from 252-255. Try running the master dimmer at around 245-250 and see if it helps. I do not really know how soundswitch works and how the profile was set up. I fear it may also be triggering the 16th Channel which can reset it and if it only sending to 15, maybe what it thinks is the next fixtures channel 1 may also be sending a signal to that 16th channel. 🤔
@@gaffle-411 I sent a video of the error to the manufacturer and they told me the lights were defective. First they said they will send the parts and instructions to fix it, which I didn’t want any part of. I asked for refund but they denied a refund and sent replacements. I don’t recommend SHEHDS they lie about offering a refund and fight you on even getting a replacement. Plus in my case the many of the menu options were just for show and didn’t actually do anything.
@@noahgauthier7336 That’s all I need to know. I don’t like “shills” that push these chintzy products. I guess I may have to stick to the pricey Chauvet Intimidator 375z’s. You can’t go wrong there… you’ll just pay a lick for quality.
So far, so good. I really have not gotten to ise it much as of yet. I have messed around with it at home spme more, but have not incorporated it into any of my light shows yet. I only have the one and would currently have to transport it in the shipping box. Thinking of using it on the floor or getting a 3rd totem for directly behind the dj.
Thanks for watching. How far are tou projecting it? If you are close you will not motice the gobos changing as they will look like a tiny beam. Since they are beams they need a little distance so you can make out the little images.
I was told by the west coast warehouse rep for the US that since the Chinese company is the manufacturer they don't really deal with customers easily and if you order from the warehouse here in the US you get the customer support needed but at a slight markup because they are the distributor and customer service entity here. Otherwise you are dealing with China directly and its a bit more difficult to go over customer service issues..
@@KrisSzanto Open the lid. There are lamps that say "RD-230W". According to the consumption from the outlet, these devices take about 285W. 55W they consume with the lamp off.

Is there a way to make it operate with sound only?
It has sound active, but there is no way to limit its movement or stobing. I do not suggest using the sound mode on these lights.
I have a beam 230 but unable to find a way to work the gobos on it. Only the prism and the beams work

@Carlos Gomez I have been using it for years, but think I will be looking for some a newer program as well. I may go to chauvet show express, not sure yet. I will be doing some research soon. Alot of people are happy with soundswitch, but think that will be to limiting for what I am used to

Guys, please do not buy any products from SHEHDS lighting or you'll just waste your money. I bought a pair of 160-watt led moving heads and the shipment took 7 days from China to Canada which is not too bad. Unfortunately, 1 unit does not focus and the gears for zooming in-out is not properly working. The lights are not even as well, one is pale and one is saturated. I tried contacting Ava from SHEHDS but took me 2 days before getting a response and not very helpful. They will try to ignore you even though they are saying they have 1 year warranty BULLSHIT. This company sucks, don't buy from them.. waste of time and money.

I bought 2 of these 10R moving head lights from SHEHDS and they seem to randomly STOP and "Reboot" I use a chauvet obey 40 DMX controller and I had it with the wireless "DONNER" DMX adapters so I though it might be those and I switched over to hardwired DMX Cables with these 2 10R lighting being the only lights added and both of them would still "reboot" at random. It seems they dont like they get overwelmed and just quit especially when Im going through different effects using sound switch. Its almost like they cant handle it. Any Idea what might be causing it?
Hi Noah, I am sorry you are having that issue. My first guess- using the obey 40 - the 10r uses all 16 channels, channel 8 is the master dimmer which you probably use at 255 and channel 16 which is the same fader as 8 has the reset function from 252-255. Try running the master dimmer at around 245-250 and see if it helps. I do not really know how soundswitch works and how the profile was set up. I fear it may also be triggering the 16th Channel which can reset it and if it only sending to 15, maybe what it thinks is the next fixtures channel 1 may also be sending a signal to that 16th channel. 🤔

@@gaffle-411 I sent a video of the error to the manufacturer and they told me the lights were defective.
First they said they will send the parts and instructions to fix it, which I didn’t want any part of. I asked for refund but they denied a refund and sent replacements. I don’t recommend SHEHDS they lie about offering a refund and fight you on even getting a replacement.
Plus in my case the many of the menu options were just for show and didn’t actually do anything.

how is this holding up now that you've had this for a while ?
So far, so good. I really have not gotten to ise it much as of yet. I have messed around with it at home spme more, but have not incorporated it into any of my light shows yet. I only have the one and would currently have to transport it in the shipping box. Thinking of using it on the floor or getting a 3rd totem for directly behind the dj.

Thanks for watching. How far are tou projecting it? If you are close you will not motice the gobos changing as they will look like a tiny beam. Since they are beams they need a little distance so you can make out the little images.

@@KrisSzanto yeah they said i wouldn’t have it until sometime July so I had to bite the bullet on that one. I just ordered two.
I was told by the west coast warehouse rep for the US that since the Chinese company is the manufacturer they don't really deal with customers easily and if you order from the warehouse here in the US you get the customer support needed but at a slight markup because they are the distributor and customer service entity here. Otherwise you are dealing with China directly and its a bit more difficult to go over customer service issues..

@@KrisSzanto Open the lid. There are lamps that say "RD-230W". According to the consumption from the outlet, these devices take about 285W. 55W they consume with the lamp off.
