Thank you very much. I was trying to do something similiar my own but i failed. The internet is a place where you can learn everything. Thanks to people like you!
Thank you...Thank you.. so much sir. This is the first time that i watch a tutorial for creating wall textures and i,m so much satisfied and have got valuable tips from this video.
+Jacopo Grosso I'll see about showing the way to mix maps with the composite map in a future video so you can see another way of getting the same effect. I'm glad that you learned about the blend material though :)
+Denis Keman I'm trying to create advanced materials and this help me :) so I wait for the "mix"/"composite" map video (that I don't know how to use very well but I'm trying ahah)
At last 3dmax and Vray rendering made easy for beginner. Thanks Dennis for making it so simple Can we have one on exterior night rendering with the street lights,...etc
Thanks very well done! If possible please do one on importing a building's 3d from Revit or Cad into 3dsmax and apply stone, washed concrete, metal, roofing etc on the building and rendered, something we the architects have to do often. Thanks again
It's amazing all you can create in 3ds Max Thanks Denis for letting us learn more an more every day a silly question: Do we have to apply a UVW Map modifier to our walls to get this results?
I have a problem, when i use V-ray blend material, the bump gray color is taking over the main material color. i added the bump into coat 1 and i only have Bump map activated on it, so idk why is taking over the main material color. If i move the blend amount "color" towards black, i can see the texture regain the color again.
Hey Denis ..thanks for the video...it's really helpful..great job... i would like to know what render settings or presets you use for rendering...it looked perfectly, the lighting ,noise ,camera and everything.. would you mind helping me out with this...
how do you apply reflections on this thing when u have a mix of bump maps... or this technique works only on none reflecting surfaces? or the reflection map will blend with the rest of the mats and will live in harmony ? :D
Hello, How can i add more realism to my exterior walls ( simple painted walls)?. Y use, textures in diffuse and bump, dirt map, and dont see realistic like interior, see more monotone. thank you
Hello Mr Keman :0 Do you know by any chance how I can make for example a glass color that ignores objects that are behind it? So I want to add a glass material to a window and when you look through it you dont see the cupboard but only a wall.
There's a very good chance that you can just download it and spend a lot of time in Photoshop fixing it because most "seamless" stuff online is only seamless but still shows the repeat.
Hey Denis, that's a nice video you did here. I have one question about it dough. Why using Blend Material to mix the bump maps in many VRay Materials instead Composite Map to mix the bump maps in one VRay Material? Is it because like everything in life can be done in many ways and that's just your way? Or it's for better performance or better blending or other reason? Thank you again for the great tutorial.
+ingoStudio Multiple ways to skin a cat i guess ( Don't skin any cats though ), but that's simply a way that i've been doing it and i wanted to incorporate the damage portion so i simply mashed it into a Blend Material. And thanks for your input on the matter
@@DenisKeman Ok, Photoshop is not good. For example, when i want a path in a grassfield i must see, the plane on wich i setup this. By vertexpain, how i must setup the v-ray materials?
Excuse me, sorry for my stupid question. But how can you make that colorful vray . mtl slot ? Because everytime i open a new file, it always has standard grey mtl. Thanks!
Danielle Nguyen Of course it worked :) Anyways always feel free to ask questions that you don't know the answer to, there are no stupid questions only stupid reasons for not asking one.
+Denis Keman thank you very much Denis. i appreciate it so much. ive been following you since the first time i saw your tutorial. the best teacher ever
+Akis Mous You can actually see how this entire scene was lit up and what was used in a previous video i did covering just that. th-cam.com/video/6WhwwyxbkJ4/w-d-xo.html Short answer though, V-Ray sun and Native environment slot, so nothing too fancy
Just change the Diffuse color of the material that has the bump on it. That way the underlying material will have the bump and the color information from the diffuse channel
This is a bit of a general topic as post production is really dependent on what kind of render you are making. So product renders have one type of post production, architectural exteriors another, interiors yet another. The end result is simple, you can't make a general post production video that would cover everything.
Well you can get your images anywhere, and if you have something particular in mind you can make your own ( i've made videos about that as well ) but when you are recording a video you try and go the shortest route possible so the video stays in the 20-30 min mark. :)
Hehe i only wish that the renders were done in seconds and that was due to my amazing PC .. sadly it's my amazing editing skills which is making it seem as the renders are done in a second :)
Bro.....thats some real stuff you showed...
And then you went render it was love
Thankyou
Thank you very much. I was trying to do something similiar my own but i failed.

Thank you...Thank you.. so much sir. This is the first time that i watch a tutorial for creating wall textures and i,m so much satisfied and have got valuable tips from this video.
Honestly I don't use 3DS Max. But for some reason this is really fun to watch. :P
Great tutorial, links and program worked fine for me. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome 3ds Max tutorial, so detail y and so easy to understand, Thank you!

I was thinking yesterday how do make realistic wall? thank you bro :)
Very well explained. Thank you for the video. I am still learning how to apply material blending.

Great tut Denis. Nice one mate.
It doesn’t quite go into the sa level as detail as Lypur’s videos, but it gives you a great overview of the “basics” - so that you can start
This is really helpful. Thanks, Denis.
Thanks....very Helpful tutorial.
Great list almost used all the hacks.. but pr pro is love ❤️
Great, I understood how to use blend materials and settings well, thank you and great video!

THANKS!!!
Sir plz add aa how to create a photo realistic render settings for v ray
Teşekkürler
What computer should i use?
Hello Mr Keman :0
Do you know by any chance how I can make for example a glass color that ignores objects that are behind it?
So I want to add a glass material to a window and when you look through it you dont see the cupboard but only a wall.
Put a plane behind the glass, that way you will obscure the view to what's behind the glass
Please i will like a video on how to add a texture or image to a glass block or material. Preferably a material with flower and text and render
how is your material slot so colorful?? is there any plugin for it?? does it make any difference ??
Doesn't really make any difference, and the reason why it's colorful is because they are all Vray materials.
ohh, but even i use vray materials but my are always grey in color
There's a very good chance that you can just download it and spend a lot of time in Photoshop fixing it because most "seamless" stuff online is only seamless but still shows the repeat.
So much thanks im from mexicol
Thank you for the tutorial.
Is there a way to get the file for the scene?
I'd like to see the settings and learn from there as well
Seeing as how this was done like 10 months ago i don't really keep the scene file .. sorry
Hey Denis, that's a nice video you did here. I have one question about it dough. i want to render setting for this plz??
Hey Denis, can i "paint" a mask in 3ds Max, to define exactly where wich material is appearing?
you could do this by adding a custom black and white mask you create in PS, or you can use some vertex paining to define that
@@DenisKeman Ok, Photoshop is not good. For example, when i want a path in a grassfield i must see, the plane on wich i setup this. By vertexpain, how i must setup the v-ray materials?
Which vray version u r using here?
I've been trying this but the image doesn't show up even though I click "Show shaded material in view port". Why so?
You haven't applied the material to the wall if it is not showing up
"Let's pick a color to organize tNice tutorials" *picks the sa red for every soft
thanks a lot! :)
you don't use any reflection on this kind of wall ?
+BRT WROCŁAW The bump pretty much helps with the end result of the wall, but you can add some reflection if you want to have a more polished look
it's oki!
Excuse me, sorry for my stupid question. But how can you make that colorful vray . mtl slot ? Because everytime i open a new file, it always has standard grey mtl. Thanks!
You need to set VRay as your default mtl .. Customize -> Custom UI and Default Switcher
thank you. it worked
Danielle Nguyen Of course it worked :) Anyways always feel free to ask questions that you don't know the answer to, there are no stupid questions only stupid reasons for not asking one.
+Denis Keman thank you very much Denis. i appreciate it so much. ive been following you since the first time i saw your tutorial. the best teacher ever

ooohhhh thanks a lot!!! Yes I am now watching them!!! Thanks!!! :D
Nice work!!!
I LOVE YOU
Hello sir can we change the colour of wall before applying the damage wall image.
Yes you can :)
Can you tell me how it is done? Because the first 2 steps is sufficient to give a texture for a exterior wall.
Just change the Diffuse color of the material that has the bump on it. That way the underlying material will have the bump and the color information from the diffuse channel
Thank you
잘보고갑니다^^
if u can do a video about post production, it will be great
